Polish Referendums in Ukraine? Taking Back Territory

It’s not outrageous. It’s entirely within reality. So much so that it’s been discussed more then once here. And I’m just a grandma from Canada. Whose been blogging on current events for well over a decade. Since ’08. Sometimes the writing is on the wall.

Head of Russian intelligence claims Poland plans referendums in Ukraine

Poland plans to hold referendums on annexing western Ukrainian territories, according to the head of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service on Wednesday.

As a part of the plan, the Polish intelligence services leaked the information about the possibility of holding a referendum in the Lviv region to Ukraine’s media, Sergey Naryshkin said in an interview with the Russian state-run RIA news agency.

The reaction of significant regional players and ordinary citizens is supposed to be carefully monitored and analyzed,” he said.

Naryshkin said options for annexing parts of Ukraine were being considered. Poland is one of the stalwarts, according to Naryshkin, who can annex western parts of Ukraine.

According to Naryshkin, Poland can annex parts of the Lviv, Ternopil, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions. Poland’s goal, Naryshkin said, is to compensate for aid that Western partners have so far refused Ukraine. In this way, Ukraine [the western parts] will receive not only NATO protection, but also economic stability.

Because this part of Ukraine is full of Poles.

Hungary will get their territory back as well.

Hi Penny:
Early on in this special military operation, I heard speculation that Ukraine losing to Russia could lead to both Poland and Hungary taking back territory from Ukraine that had previously been their territories. That would not leave Ukraine much territory. Things are not looking good for Ukraine in the long run.

Hi Gary
I was one of those speculators, not necessarily the one you had heard but the early talk is here.

If Poland/Hungry takes back the territory that is undoubtedly filled with Poles and Hungarians.. There will not be much of Ukraine left. And what is left will be in a pitiful state.
It good have been different-

Good sources talked about this possibilty long before the special operation even started. Poland has now for several years openly talked about Intermarium. Contrary to what wikipedia would suggest as it paints it just as an “historical idea” it is not. I think (so it’s just my opinion) that Russia even includes in its plan that Galicia will be annexed by Poland.
