Trump. Thanks to his many foolish actions, created the massive global diesel shortage. I’ll mention 2 very short sighted and unnecessary actions. Sanctioning Russia. Attacking Iran. Now there are global diesel shortages. The price of diesel has skyrocketed and is contributing to inflationary pressures every where.

Trump’s deal with Russia- millions of tonnes of diesel to US and Global markets after successful talks with Putin
Moscow to “immediately release” 300,00 tonnes of diesel into the global market, followed by 500,000 tonnes in November and another million afterwards.
Trump is claiming he’s allowing this, actually, he’s desperate for this.

That’s true.

I am confident that this will have a positive impact on the global economy as a whole,” Putin said.
Hopefully he’s correct? If Russia can provide enough fuel to to make an impact
Washington grants temporary sanctions relief for Russian diesel
The US Treasury Department on Friday authorized Russian diesel exports to global markets under a temporary sanctions exemption, following a telephone conversation between President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin on measures to ease energy prices.
At Trump’s direction, the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) issued a temporary general license allowing Russian diesel to enter international markets immediately.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy criticized the sanctions relief, warning that easing pressure on Moscow without commitments to reduce hostilities would strengthen its ability to continue the war against Ukraine.
“Allowing Russia to sell petroleum products is an investment in a war that must be ended, not prolonged,”Zelenskyy argued, urging Washington to make the exemption conditional on reciprocal measures to halt attacks on energy infrastructure.

I call them as I see them and Trump appears desperate. His attack on Iran and insistence on sanctioning Russia created the diesel shortage
Zelensky is upset.. Is this move enough? Keeping in mind Ukraine has been attacking Russian refineries.
