Some of these are just small outposts- some are bases.
At Tanf is a big military base. In the east of Syria the US and allies have multiple bases. With airfields. Turkey is based along it’s own border.
There are people claiming either misinforming or disinforming this is the work of Turkey. I don’t think so. They have nothing to gain and everything to lose from what is going on in Aleppo at this time.
Astana Agreement

Briefly, Russia, Turkey and Iran worked together through a series of agreements and meetings that took place in Astana, the capital of Khazakstan- There are so many reports on the Astana meetings at my google censored blog, it would consume to much of my time right now to move them here, however here’s a viable article, accessible to all, right now.
When Russia, Turkey and Iran formed the Astana group they had a number of goals they were working towards. One was keeping Syria’s borders intact. Turkey wanted the refugees to go back to Syria as it was a strain on their resources. They also hoped to displace the PKK that had been so warmly embraced by the occupation forces of the US. Together, they were stealing Syrian resources, attempting to annex Syrian territory and join it to the part of Iraq, largely inhabited by ethnic Kurds, but, also and more importantly, the PKK. The US has bases in that part of Iraq as well this is how they supply their forces, including PKK, in north eastern Syria.
The US and it’s PKK allies were and probably still plan to cut the entire north of Syria off ,to annex it. To create a continuous territory to the Mediterranean. We’re talking about pipeline politics here as well! Obviously, Turkey, Syria and Iran wanted nothing to do with this.
Another Astana and Russian goal was getting Syrian & Turkish relations normalized. There had been repeated meetings etc., If Syria &Turkey would re-establish good relations this would be a big showy feather in Russia’s cap. As well as an impediment in the US plan to remake the region. And would stop Israel in it’s expansionist goals! This is the really short version of events, but there it is.

“The facts on the ground are clear through the Astana phases and the activation of new agreements to protect the M4 and M5 roads,” He added.
Russia and Turkey have been jointly patrolling these highways for years now- The opening of these two highways would enable passage of people and products and go a long way towards normalizing relations between Turkey and Syria.
There are two main parties who would NEVER want to see Turkey and Syria have good trade relations or good neighbour relations-Those two parties are the US and Israel. Some EU member states as well, but, US and Israel are the main impediments. A detente between Syria and Turkey stop the remake in it’s tracks. Israel wouldn’t have it’s Kurdish allies to work with the wreak even more havoc in the region- If you can imagine that to be possible?!

“In the long term Turkey wants to work with Russia and Iran, as well as Damascus to get the US to leave Syria”
Turkey, Russia and Iran described the latest talks in Astana as “constructive” and said they discussed “preparing the roadmap for the restoration of relations between Turkey and Syria.”
Last year a roadmap for the restoration of relations between Turkey and Syria was in the works As stated at that time –”Which means the US better step up and aid their PKK proxies..”
Did anyone think the US and Israel were going to let these restored relations happen? Not without a fight- And that’s what is going on in Aleppo, right now. The impediment.
Deputy foreign ministers from Russia, Turkey, Syria and Iran on Tuesday completed two days of talks in Moscow aimed at restoring ties between Ankara and Damascus.
Those meetings working towards restoration of ties were not unknown to Israel and the US.
The two highways mentioned above- the M4 and M5 pass through Aleppo- There have been reports that the Usrael backed terror crowd in Aleppo are trying to take control of the strategic roadways. Bad for Syria, Turkey, Iran and inevitably Russia. Oh and China too. Because belt and road is a big project.
China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) (一带一路) is a strategy initiated by the People’s Republic of China that seeks to connect Asia with Africa and Europe via land and maritime networks with the aim of improving regional integration, increasing trade and stimulating economic growth.
I don’t think this is a coincidence, that there were reports of exploding walkie talkies, ala Israeli terrorism, in Syria- affecting SAA
Is this why Israel agreed to the ceasefire with Lebanon? So they could kick this off in Syria? A nation they’ve been continuously bombing.
Blaming Turkey is, in my opinion, a distraction from the real perps. Turkey simply has nothing to gain. Israeli media is reporting this as an opportunity for change as Netanyahu assesses
“It doesn’t necessarily affect us, especially not in the short term, but any erosion of stability in a neighboring country could also impact us.
It seems here that there are also opportunities for change.”
So the conditions are being created for the opportunity to be exploited.

Crazy to think that the Kurdistan project is completely missed out of the Syrian destabilization trolls and lots of people are still fallong for the Kurdish nationalist propaganda.
Do you remember Greta Thunberg? She has a huuge following on social media and has moved on to political sh*tstirring over the years. She has made lots of posts accusing Turkey of collaborating with Israel and oppressing the Kurds. She’s calling for an independent Kurdistan and every protest she does has a Kurdistan flag amongst other separstists. She’s also been supporting Armenia against Azerbaijan, Baloch separatists. Basically, wherever Nato ate trying to target, she’s there. Look at her Twitter if you don’t have Insta. Her Kurdistan post got lots of reactions from different kinds of people talking. She claims she has travelled around ‘North Kurdistan’ for a few days. Lots of Turks coming to refute her claims about Kurds being oppressed and accusing her of supporting separatism/terrorism in Turkey and saying that Turkey will never be divided and that the land she refers to as North Kurdistan is in fact S/E Turkey. It seems that most Turks of different political spectrum are aware that the West has their eyes on Turkey and know that Greta is being used to help that. Also, the post got lots of comments from Assyrians and even some Ezidis saying that Greta has not considered the Kurds’ ethnic cleansing or treatment of other minorities in the territories they call ‘Kurdistan’. One Ezidi claimed that Ezidis aren’t Kurds and that Kurdish forces disarmed them and left during Isis’ seige on their towns.
It is crazy to see people like Greta who are so supporting of Palestinians also be supporting a greater Kurdistan which is only aiding Israel’s expansion. It just shows that the ‘free Palestine’ mob are more controlled opposition.

There’s a huge disconnect in social media land. And Greta is going to gate keep, because that’s what’s she is paid to do. And yes the Kurds ethnic cleansed way more than is usually acknowledged- they’ve stolen Assyrian history and claimed it as their own. And the hard line PKK/YPG will terrorize and kill their own, who don’t go along. Many people don’t realize how they draw children in to fight for them too. Causing angst among the parents who don’t support the cause of the PKK

Ally, I’m short on time, but, thank you so much. So very much. Because it’s such a small group of people that understand what’s been going on in that region. Even I can’t know it all, but, it seems to me, I’ve better awareness than many others.
Greta has moved on from Clinate activisim to political destabilization. She is definitely paid to spread disinfo and under her post now, it seems like either some comments have been removed or pushed further down.
You are right that it’s such a small group of people in the West that understand what is going on in the region. I have tried to have conversations with some people but I have given up. People are too far brainwashed. I remember feeling so relieved almost a decade ago finding this blog because it was finally some truth in a sea of lies/disinfo. Thanks to you for continuing to spread the truth.
I would have expected more people to know about the political situation in Turkey, especially given it’s a major tourist destination.
But you know, I’ve been accused of loving Syria and Assad–
loving Turkey and Erdogan
And if I had the trolls around that I used to, I’d be a Putin apologist too
But, I am none of those things. I’m just trying to share information in a way that I see as truthful, to the best of my ability.
And to provide more context to better understand what is going on and why- to the best of my ability
And mostly I want wars to stop being waged- They never benefit anyone really, but a select few profiteers at the top
While destroying nearly everyone and everything else- what a self defeating practice!
