PKK claims Ankara attack, says it was not related to recent peace discussions
The group says the armed attack in the capital city that killed five people was planned well in advance.
The Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) has claimed responsibility for the Oct 23 armed attack on Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) headquarters in Ankara, which left seven people dead including the two assailants.
The attack was carried out by an autonomous unit of the “Immortals Battalion,” according to a statement from the People’s Defense Forces (HPG), the military wing of the PKK.

The attack against TUSAS comes amid signs of a renewed effort to bring an end to the conflict between the PKK and Turkish state.
A statement from the military wing of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, PKK, said Wednesday’s attack on the premises of the aerospace and defense company TUSAS was carried out by two members of its so-called “Immortal Battalion” in response to Turkish “massacres” and other actions in Kurdish regions.
Immortal Battalion suggests to me these are the fighters willing to die for the cause. Through suicide bombings or activities like what occurred in Turkey yesterday.
A man and a woman stormed TUSAS’ premises on the outskirts of Ankara, setting off explosives and opening fire. Four TUSAS employees were killed there. The assailants arrived on the scene in a taxi that they had commandeered by killing its driver.
The assailants were also killed in a subsequent battle with security teams and more than 20 people were injured in the attack.
Ocalan, who is serving a life sentence on a prison island off Istanbul, said in a message conveyed by his nephew on Thursday that he was ready to work for peace.
The PKK’s military wing, the People’s Defense Center, said, however, that the attack was not related to the latest “political agenda,” insisting it was planned long before.
The PKK should be viewed as a “stay behind” army, most often associated with Operation Gladio in Italy- These forces, most commonly supported by NATO and other intelligence groups are used to destabilize nations. They are often tied to criminality. Stay behinds come in many “flavours” ( kinds, varieties, or sorts)
A must read book on this subject And, yes, Turkey was subjected to that type of operation- So this is not a stretch nor is it a “conspiracy theory”
