I’m questioning the validity of this latest Israeli claim based on the timing of this claim is being brought to light. Right after the ICJ ruling.
Am also question why based on allegations made by Israel would funding be cut to this aid agency at all?
Of course weasel wording will be bolded. This move by the US and Canada could be seen as assisting Israel in bringing more harm to the Palestinians.
This story broke shortly after the ICJ ruling
The Biden administration has temporarily suspended assistance to the UN agency for Palestinian refugees following allegations that some of its employees took part in the Oct. 7 Hamas attacks on Israel.
The State Department said Friday it was “extremely troubled” by the allegations and had paused additional aid to the UN Relief and Works Agency pending a review of the claims and any action the UN takes to address them.
Lazzarini said Israeli authorities provided his agency with information about the alleged involvement of several employees in the attacks. The refugee agency, which provides education, medical care and welfare services to hundreds of thousands of Gaza’s 2.3 million people, has tens of thousands of employees.
The alleged perpetrators have been fired. So why cut the funding to an agency that provides education, medical care and welfare services to hundreds of thousands of Palestinians?
Of course, Canada follows the leader
Canada immediately suspending UNRWA funding after employees implicated in Oct. 7 attacks
This follows an announcement by the U.S government Friday that it was immediately pausing funding for the the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), after evidence presented by the Israeli government this week alleged 12 of the agency’s employees
Israel alleges 12 employees, just 12, from an agency that employs tens of thousands, were involved in the Oct. 7 attacks, so funding that assists 100’s of thousands of human beings in Palestine has to be paused?
The move comes after Jewish groups demanded that Canada follow the U.S. lead on suspending funding for the agency.
U.S. State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller confirmed on Friday that 12 UNRWA employees were allegedly involved in the brutal Hamas-led terror attack.
Are you getting a justification for a US veto at the UN kind of vibe?

Those that have long been slaves are perplexed by and incapable of independent thought and action. That is the state of Canadian foreign policy.
what’s amazing to me is some Canadians believe we are different or superior to Americans- as in America does bad things but not Canada
cripes people are sooooo stupid! It’s frustrating and incredible!
