Russian President Vladimir Putin said Monday that targets in Ukraine were hit in response to the explosion on the Kerch Bridge and other “terrorist attacks” carried out by Ukraine’s intelligence.
Earlier today it became known about explosions in major Ukrainian cities, including Kiev. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the information about shelling of critical infrastructure facilities throughout Ukraine. According to the head of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny, at least 75 missiles were fired across the territory of the republic.
Speaking at a meeting with the members of the Russian Security Council, Putin said the evidence gathered by Russian investigators shows that Ukrainian intelligence was behind Saturday’s attack on the bridge which connects Russia to Crimea.
“This morning, at the proposal of the Defense Ministry and according to the plan of the Russian General Staff, a massive strike was carried out with high-precision long-range air, sea and land-based weapons on energy, military administration and communications facilities of Ukraine,” he said.

Putin said Ukraine’s special services carried out attacks on the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in Ukraine and Kursk nuclear power plant in Russia.
A number of other “terrorist attacks” have targeted Russia’s energy infrastructure, including an attempt to blast one of the sections of the TurkStream gas pipeline which runs from Russia to Türkiye, he said.
I was aware of this news, but, didn’t have time to get the report posted here- This being a one woman operation 🙂
TASS– Turkstream
MOSCOW, October 10. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin accused Ukraine of attempting to sabotage one of the sections of the TurkStream gas pipeline.
“They have committed a number of terrorist attacks and similar attempted crimes against electrical power facilities and gas transportation infrastructure in our country, including an attempt to blow up one of the sections of the TurkStream gas transmission system. All this is proven by impartial evidence, including the testimony of the detained perpetrators of these terrorist attacks themselves,”
The attack took place late September 22.
On September 22, the FSB of Russia announced the prevention of a terrorist attack on a gas pipeline that supplies energy to Turkey and Europe. Back then the security service did not specify the pipeline. It is known that the attack was planned by an agent of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) on orders from the Ukrainian special services.
After the attack on Turkstream failed Netherlands withdrew the licence to continue transport etc., Turkstream is the last major pipeline transporting Russian gas to Europe.
I guess if you can’t get’em one way you gotta try and get’em another?!
TurkStream gas pipeline says Netherlands withdraws licence, to continue gas exports
The Russian-owned operator of the TurkStream gas pipeline said on Thursday that the Netherlands had withdrawn its export licence, but it will continue gas transportation, adding that it had requested the resumption of the license.
Russia and Turkey formally launched TurkStream with capacity of 31.5 billion cubic metres per year in January 2020. The pipeline, which allows Moscow to bypass Ukraine as a transit route to Europe, carries Russian natural gas to southern Europe through the Black Sea and Turkey.

Perfect timing. I was just going to post this to my blog. Biden Should Kill TurkStream to Promote Transatlantic Energy Security: https://www.aei.org/op-eds/biden-should-kill-turkstream-to-promote-transatlantic-energy-security/
Back to the launching of airstrikes reporting
Russia was not included in the investigation on the leaks in the Nord Stream gas pipelines, he said, adding that everyone knows “the final beneficiary.”
In the past, Putin said the explosion on the offshore pipelines which carry gas from Russia to Germany will help energy companies in the US reap huge profits by selling gas to Europe.
That’s been so obvious.
