This suggests to me the Act wasn’t going to pass in the Senate. Also the piling up of legal challenges were going to succeed. Trudeau did not want to appear the looser that he actually is! Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says the government will take steps to end the use of the Emergencies Act after it was invoked just over a week ago in response to the ongoing trucker convoy blockades and protests.
Trudeau made the announcement alongside Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland, Justice Minister David Lametti, Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino, and Emergency Preparedness Minister Bill Blair.

“I cannot be reassured that if I release you into the community that you will not reoffend,” Bourgeois said. “Your detention is necessary for the protection and safety of the public.”
Counseling to commit mischief and Tamara poses some kind of threat for the safety and protection of the public? This judge is a few cards short of a full deck. Trudeau’s actions caused more harm then the convoy could have ever.
