Pentagon Confirms Explosion Outside of Kabul Airport

This was quite predictable. In fact I’d expressed concern about this after catching the sudden reappearance of the terror group called Khorasan.

Earlier today there were warnings issued by US/UK that this was a very real possibility and they had specifically named Khorasan. I could barely believe my eyes! And yet I could!

The U.S. and Britain have warned citizens not to go to Kabul’s airport, citing a terror threat to the sprawling facility outside of which thousands of desperate people have gathered since the Taliban’s retaking of Afghanistan. The U.S. Embassy in Kabul sent out an alert on Wednesday evening advising U.S. citizens in Afghanistan to avoid traveling to the airport, citing an unspecified security threat amid frantic efforts to evacuate Americans and vulnerable Afghans.

It wasn’t immediately clear what specific intelligence prompted the U.S. embassy’s advisory, but President Biden warned this week of the ongoing threat posed by the ISIS affiliate in Afghanistan, ISIS Khorosan or ISIS-K. A senior British official did indicate that ISIS-K was behind the latest, urgent threat in Kabul

Pentagon confirms explosion outside Kabul airport as U.S. rushes toward Afghanistan evacuation deadline

The Pentagon on Thursday confirmed an explosion near Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, where Western forces are rushing to evacuate as many people as possible out of the country.

It was unclear whether there were any casualties, according to the Pentagon’s top spokesman, John Kirby.

A White House official told NBC News that President Joe Biden was briefed on the blast.

Deja vu? 9/11 anniversary just two weeks away..

Perhaps not a popular opinion, but from all that I have gathered I am weighing the arguments from the “John Birch Society” the heaviest with regards to Afghanistan. Which basically comes to “Planned, softened it up for take-over, create regional chaos so that in the long run everyone’s freedom is in jeopardy”

Hi Kaz:
I know what the John Birch Society is, but, know nothing of their thoughts on Afghanistan.
That said, after reading your comment

“Planned, softened it up for take-over, create regional chaos so that in the long run everyone’s freedom is in jeopardy””

If by softening Afghanistan up- the meaning goes like this?
US stood aside while Taliban reclaimed most of Afghanistan except for a a couple of pivotal/important areas. Including leaving them some fancy gadgets to do so. They (US and co) never actually withdrew and coincidentally or not US and UK/Canada have been pouring troops in under the guise of evacuation people.
Meanwhile the Northern Alliance looks as if they’ve been activated. And This Khorasan is the the other side of that equation.
I’m thinking of the Kurds vs ISIS ruse in Syria. Same/same. It works and if it isn’t broke why fix it.
Northern Alliance can be called in to fight “ISIS-K” meanwhile all concerned are destroying the Taliban’s governance.( Like the central gov in Syria)
To create chaos and yes, everyone’s freedom will be in jeopardy. And to remake the region

I would say its pretty close. However the JBS also has a twist, where its the globalist elites using/working with communists to strip away the freedoms of the people of all countries. Yes yes I know, the red scare etcetera.
But the common thing about communists and elite globalists is that they want to exert power on normal folk so that they live the life according to their rules. Money only gets you so far.

Than would come the Nato angle where they want to thwart the other powers of the region, but even though that might be an added bonus. What I see is that from all the way from Afghanistan to Syria, is that all those nations are weak, exhausted and instable If some Nato forces are using this moment to pour in more troops into Afghanistan I honestly wonder with whom they are planning to work, because what forces are which they can use like the kurds ?
The previous administration which fled with a chunk of their soldiers ?

I’d read somewhere that it was expected that affiliated fighters would pour into a specific area from the Middle East/Africa and of course their have always been foot soldiers in Pakistan–
TTP – Pushtun Islamists – though they may need a rebrand. But seen them linked to ISIS Khorosan
This reads to me as if the mercenaries will regroup in another front- lots of misery/poverty so there are lots of young men in particular willing to fight for the $$$$
