I’m not a huge fan of sports in general. But, I will watch soccer because it is a game my now deceased Dad, loved. He played it as a child/young man in Italy. He played it when he came to Canada. And he watched soccer to the end of his days. I watched many games with him. He would’ve been disgusted with that game!
What I saw yesterday during the last game of the World Cup was nothing but corruption and thuggery. Argentina’s team was the goon squad and so called refs and officials catered to their every corruption.
Spain was the far better team and thankfully they won.
That said, FIFA officials and the Argentinian team ruined this competition with their disgraceful actions. Really disgusting display of poor sportsmanship, outright cheating and more.
Oh and the "half time show" Please let that be the first and last time ever!!

I realize this is a different type of post from my usual geopolitics, It does however follow along with my general idea of fairness. And rejection of bullying thugs everywhere.
