Trump announces a complete Iran/Israeli ceasefire?

Do I believe Trump? Absolutely not!

The U.S. president said on his Truth Social website that the ceasefire would bring an “Official END” to the war. Such an agreement would mark a major change in the hostilities that followed a U.S. strike over the weekend on three Iranian nuclear sites and Iran’s retaliatory strike on a U.S. military base in Qatar earlier Monday.

“On the assumption that everything works as it should, which it will, I would like to congratulate both Countries, Israel and Iran, on having the Stamina, Courage, and Intelligence to end, what should be called, ‘THE 12 DAY WAR,’” Trump posted.

He’s already got a brand name for the war “The 12 day war” Twice as long as the “6 Day War”

According to Trump, fighting will continue for the next six hours into Tuesday morning local time, at which point Iran will begin its side of the ceasefire. Israel will join 12 hours later, Trump said, “and, upon the 24th hour, an official END to THE 12 DAY WAR will be saluted by the world,” he wrote.

The Israeli military declined to comment on Trump’s statement and the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not immediately respond to a message seeking comment. There was also no immediate comment from Iran.

“For the Iranians, I think this is a new opportunity to actually pursue the path of peace” and end its nuclear program for good, U.S. Vice-President JD Vance told Fox News in an interview taking place moments after Trump posted his statement.

Qatar claims to have secured Tehran’s agreement. Do I believe that? No.

Reuters reported that Qatar’s Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani secured Tehran’s agreement to the U.S. proposal for a ceasefire during a call with Iranian officials.

Trump secured Israel’s agreement to the ceasefire? Do I believe that? No

An official briefed on the negotiations told Reuters the phone call came after Trump told Qatar’s emir that Israel had agreed to the ceasefire and asked for Doha’s help persuading Tehran to also agree to the deal.

We’re being played. Psyoped through the media.

News of a ceasefire came shortly after Canada and the European Union issued a joint statement urging a “negotiated settlement” to end the conflict.

Of course Israel claims Iran broke the non existent peace treaty. Would you have expected anything less?

I am quite cynical lately, especially when it comes to this. Which makes me think, did something else happen more important that they tried to distract us with this charade.

I am writing this entire thing between Israel and Iran off as just. Cleaning weapon stocks and Cleaning house.

Good point Kaz. Did something else happen? I don’t know. I’ve not noticed anything weird or unusual in all the reporting, but, still?
Whatever the case may actually be Israel has breached the ceasefire and bombed Iran- Again.
All that aside I don’t think there is a ceasefire- Trump has shown himself to be quite capable of deception and very poor diplomatically. So..
It seems to me Iran had already figured out this was coming

Explosions ring out in Tehran despite Trump’s order to Israel to stop strikes

Bibi claims this was in retaliation to a previous Iranian action? It appears to be after Trump used obscenities regarding the breaking of the ceasefire (though I could be mistaken)

Kaz, where can I find that man who did some very interesting analysis?
You left his video in the comments way back and I can’t find your comment or his channel? Help?

Hi Penny:
Who wants a ceasefire in a war? The side that is winning the war or the side that is losing the war? (See Ukraine vs Russia, for example.)

I’d think it was Israel that wanted a ceasefire- reports of them running out of missiles- as well as the fact it’s small crowded nation that can’t take repeated hits
