Dozens of Russia’s long-range bombers have been destroyed by drones smuggled into the country, claims Ukraine. Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) released video it said showed Russian aircraft in flames at the Belaya airfield in the Irkutsk region bordering Mongolia on June 1. Russia’s Defense Ministry confirmed that air bases in five different regions had been targeted.

Briefly it looks as if Ukraine launched a long planned terror attack well into Russian territory ahead of the Istanbul talks.
Beside the drone attacks they blew up two bridges killing civilians- One mentioned in a previous post according to reporting I’d seen yesterday
Explosions caused 2 bridges in western Russia to collapse, officials say. 7 people were killed
Explosions caused two bridges to collapse and derailed two trains in western Russia overnight, officials said Sunday, without saying what had caused the blasts. In one of the incidents, seven people were killed and dozens were injured.
The first bridge, in the Bryansk region on the border with Ukraine, collapsed on top of a passenger train on Saturday, causing the casualties. The train’s driver was among those killed, state-run Russian Railways said.
Hours later, officials said a second train derailed when the bridge beneath it collapsed in the nearby Kursk region, which also borders Ukraine.
Türkiye confirms Ukraine talks to go ahead in Istanbul Monday
Russian and Ukrainian delegations are set to meet at Istanbul’s Ciragan Palace at 1 p.m. local time (10 a.m. GMT) Monday to discuss a potential cease-fire, according to a Turkish Foreign Ministry source.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said earlier Sunday that Defense Minister Rustem Umerov will be leading his country’s delegation.
“I outlined (Ukraine’s) positions ahead of the meeting in Istanbul on Monday,” Zelenskyy wrote on Telegram on Sunday after meeting with his officials.
Zelenskyy listed Ukraine’s positions for the talks as a complete and unconditional ceasefire, the release of prisoners, the return of abducted children.
“And, in order to establish a reliable and lasting peace and guarantee security, to prepare a meeting at the highest level.”
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that they had offered Ukraine to hold a new round of talks in Istanbul on June 2 and that Vladimir Medinsky, presidential aide to Vladimir Putin, would head the delegation.
