Israel’s Supporters Attack UCLA Protestors

Try as the 5 eyes media might- what happened is discernible via the reports

Violence at UCLA as Gaza protest camp attacked by counter-demonstrators

People wielding sticks and poles tried to tear down wooden boards being held up as a makeshift barricade to protect pro-Palestinian protesters, some holding placards or umbrellas. At least one firework was thrown into the camp.

There is video of more than one firework being thrown into the camps in what had to have been an attempt to set the tents on fire

At one point, a group of counter-demonstrators attacked one person, piling on to them before kicking and beating them as they lay on the ground, video posted on social media by an Los Angeles Times reporter showed

The attacking went on for hours while law enforcement watched- The Guardian obfuscates this fact by using the language as follows

Later, ABC7 showed LAPD officers in riot gear moving in.

Globe and Mail

After a couple of hours of scuffles between pro-Palestinian and pro-Israeli demonstrators at UCLA, police wearing helmets and face shields formed lines and slowly separated the groups

The clashes at UCLA took place around a tent encampment built by pro-Palestinian protesters, who erected barricades and plywood for protection – while counterprotesters tried to pull them down. Video showed fireworks exploding over and in the encampment. People threw chairs and at one point a group piled on a person who lay on the ground, kicking and beating them with sticks until others pulled them out of the scrum.

It was not clear how many people might be injured.

The Globe and Mail included photos of the anti genocide/pro Palestinian protestors being arrested- but none of the pro- Israel protestors. Why?

What’s also interesting about the media coverage of this incident? The near silence. There is very little American reporting on the protest encampment attack.

Fox News coverage is one sided. As would be expected. The so called leftist media is obfuscating. Choosing to write/present this incident in the same way we, for example, see the conflict between Russia and Ukraine presented.

Al Jazeera had on the ground coverage

UCLA clashes: Pro-Palestinian protesters attacked by Israel supporters

Police delay intervention into ‘shocking’ attack, featuring masked vigilantes armed with pepper spray and fireworks.

Witnesses said the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) only intervened after nearly four hours of the attacks, which started overnight into Wednesday when masked pro-Israel counter-demonstrators, who appeared in their hundreds from outside the university campus, hurled fireworks into the encampment.

The attackers, carrying Israeli flags, then tried to tear down the pro-Palestinian camp, assaulting students with pepper spray, sticks, stones and metal fencing. Police stood by, failing to protect students, who re-commandeered the metal fencing thrown at them to shield themselves, said Joey Scott, an investigative journalist speaking to Al Jazeera from the scene.

Before the police arrived, a group reportedly piled on one person who lay on the ground, kicking and beating them until others pulled them out of the scrum.

The vigilante mob appeared to come from outside the campus. “They appear to be all largely people who are not of student age and they’re not from the UCLA campus, but what they’re doing is trying to harass and attack the pro-Palestinian demonstrators,” said Reynolds.

Quickly

Pro Israel protestors attacked the encampment- Using fireworks they attempted to start fires at the sites. They came armed with sticks, poles and mace to attack the protestors. Law enforcement/security allowed the attacking to go on for hours. Fighting and injury ensued. Arrests were made, but, msm is not showing, imagery of the pro Israel non- student attackers being arrested. (not that I’ve seen at the time of publishing this post)

Perceptions managed.
