MSM has been pushing a specific view regarding Ukraine. But every now and then bits of truth drip out.

Ukraine says forces may retreat from eastern region to avoid Russian troops

Ukraine said on Friday (May 27/22) its forces may need to retreat from their last pocket of resistance in Luhansk to avoid being captured by Russian troops pressing an advance in the east that has shifted the momentum of the three-month-old war.

A withdrawal could bring Russian President Vladimir Putin closer to his goal of capturing Ukraine’s Luhansk and Donetsk regions in full. His troops have gained ground in the two areas collectively known as the Donbas while blasting some towns to wastelands.

Zelensky Says Counter-Offensive to Recapture Severodonetsk Too Costly

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that retaking Severodonetsk will come at a great cost of equipment and troops should the eastern Ukrainian city fall to Russian forces.

Facebook post earlier Monday that Ukrainian troops maintain control over Severodonetsk.

The claim directly above could not have represented fact or truth. Last week Severodonetsk was nearly overtaken by separatists and Russian forces. How could it have been claimed to be controlled by Ukrainian troops a week later ?

As Ukraine loses troops, how long can it keep up the fight?

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this week that Ukraine is now losing 60 to 100 soldiers each day in combat. By way of comparison, just short of 50 American soldiers died per day on average in 1968 during the Vietnam War’s deadliest year for U.S. forces.

I’m starting to notice a trickle of reports stating that Ukraine needs to get to the negotiating table. Suggestive to me that what is occurring in Ukraine is not to the liking of, most of all, the US.
