CDC Quietly Reduces Covid Death Count

And, not for the first time! Betting it will not be the last.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has reportedly removed tens of thousands of deaths linked to COVID-19 on Wednesday due to a “coding logic error.”

The CDC also quietly decreased the total of children who died with COVID-19 by nearly a quarter, according to reports.

Just over 5% of all covid deaths were attributed to covid-19 alone

For over 5% of these deaths, COVID-19 was the only cause mentioned on the death certificate.

All others mentioned 4 additional comorbidities

For deaths with conditions or causes in addition to COVID-19, on average, there were 4.0 additional conditions or causes per death.

“An adjustment was made to COVID Data Tracker’s mortality data on March 14 involving the removal of 72,277 — including 416 pediatric deaths — deaths previously reported across 26 states because CDC’s algorithm was accidentally counting deaths that were not COVID-19-related,” Jasmine Reed, a spokesperson for the CDC, told the Washington Examiner.
