Putin and Trump Meet- Hillary will nominate Trump for a Nobel Peace Prize!

Under the right conditions, of course?! Stay tuned.

We don’t know much at this time- the meet and greet looked pretty civil- Putin road with Trump to the meeting (in the Trump vehicle) – Marco Rubio looked nervous in some of the footage shown. Probably because Sergei Lavrov is way, way, way smarter and better spoken then he could ever imagine himself to be!

Talks between Trump and Putin still ongoing after two hours

The meeting between Donald Trump, Vladimir Putin, and their delegations is still ongoing, two hours after it started.

White House deputy chief of staff Dan Scavino wrote on X that “@POTUS Trump, @SecRubio, and @SteveWitkoff are still meeting behind closed doors with President Putin and the Russian Delegation, here at Joint Base Elmendorf—Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska” as of 5.25pm eastern time, or 1.25pm local time. The meeting started around 11.27am local time.

Russian state media said the small-format meeting continued well past the two hour mark.

Prior to the report above;

Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin began their high-stakes summit in Alaska on Friday, after the two leaders enjoyed a cordial meeting on the tarmac in Anchorage.

The meetings to discuss Trump’s effort to end Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine are expected to last several hours.

The two presidents walked alone down separate long red carpets after exiting their jets. Trump applauded the Russian leader, before stretching out his hand for a handshake. The men departed together in the US president’s car, smiling.

The body language between the leaders at Elmendorf Air Force base in Alaska dispelled notions that the summit over the conflict in Ukraine could end quickly.

Trump said earlier on Friday he was “not going to be happy” if Putin did not agree to a ceasefire in Ukraine. He also warned that he “would walk” if he felt the meeting with Putin was not going well.

The US president said aboard Air Force One that he expected to discuss territorial negotiations with Putin, but that Ukraine should have the final say on the matter.

Russia said it expected Friday’s summit to end with a “result”. The Kremlin said it expected the gathering would last at least six or seven hours and take in all aspects of US-Russia relations rather than just focusing on the conflict in Ukraine.

Before the leaders greeted each other on the tarmac, the White House and Kremlin said the summit had been modified from a one-on-one meeting to a three-on-three format, involving two aides on each side.

Clinton would nominate Donald Trump for a Nobel Prize if…

Clinton said “If he could bring about the end to this terrible war … without putting Ukraine in a position where it had to concede its territory to the aggressor … if President Trump were the architect of that, I’d nominate him for a Nobel Peace Prize”

If this is about capitulating to Putin and rewarding aggression, that is not peace,” she said. “That’s surrender.”
