Where things stand after US and Iranian officials have indirect talks in Oman
Brief audio clip from NPR
Airforce Times
Oman’s foreign minister, Badr al-Busaidi, who mediated between the two sides, wrote in a post on X after the meeting that the next step was to “reconvene in due course.”
That means Badr al Busaidi was to go between- No one spoke directly to one another
Today the American administration has encouraged Americans to leave Iran
No sooner had the non face to face negotiations ended when the US immediately levied more sanctions against Iran
US announces new Iran oil sanctions moments after concluding talks
The United States has sanctioned 14 nautical vessels as part of what it calls a “shadow fleet” circumventing restrictions on the transport of Iranian oil and petroleum products.

Former IDF senior commander: We might attack in Iran before the US
In a fiery interview at the Israel Hayom conference in northern Israel, the security hawk Brig. Gen. (ret.) Amir Avivi says, “The probability that there will be a situation of a major attack in Iran and simultaneously fire from additional fronts – is very high.”

Pressure on Trump to attack Iran is growing by the day. An indication of the intensity are the “dumped” Epstein information. If Trump does not attack soon the videos will start to appear.
I send several other comments to your blog a few days ago Penny but this is the first one to be published.
Hey Greencrow!
I checked the spam and is nothing but spam- I get notification regarding comments- not spam though
So, I don’t know what to say?
Oh, yah the pressure is on. Israel is clearly pushing for an attack- very clearly.
Problem is no one else wants the attack and frankly no one should want this attack- No one sane that is. I believe Israel represents a form of collective insanity

I’m still on alert for the Usrael strike, but, am still hoping to be wrong
– the latest reports- Witkoff and Kushner have placed themselves in the USS Abraham Lincoln
https://www.foxnews.com/world/trumps-special-envoy-witkoff-kushner-visit-aircraft-carrier-amid-iran-tensions-talks
I see this as provocative and a impediment on Iran to hit the carrier in retaliation. If the US strikes Iran, these two real estate agents may or may not be on the aircraft carrier it’s going to make responding difficult
The visit comes amid tensions with Iran as Witkoff said the service members were “keeping us safe and upholding President Trump’s message of peace through strength,”

Trumps 5 impossible demands and the inevitable second strike
***”Trump’s five demands are not only impossible to comply with, but they are intended to be rejected”” repeating
“”Trump’s five demands are not only impossible to comply with, but they are intended to be rejected””
And in the current state of affairs, rejection leads inexorably to the second strike, a conflict that neither side wants, yet each side believes it can achieve. The question is no longer whether or not a second round of strikes on Iran will happen; it is only a matter of when, and whether or not the fires that are lit can be contained before they consume the entire region.
US diplomat Alan Eyre, who has negotiated with Iran on its nuclear program, said: “Opting for *indirect talks* is the diplomatic equivalent of a surgeon taking a hit of ether and then putting on gloves before a difficult surgery.”
The indirect talks carried out suggest to me the intent was for the negotiations to fail (most people don’t realize there were NO direct talks) Israel is pushing hard, I’m still expecting them to take the first strike
***UK Sends More Fighter Jets to Cyprus
https://cyprus-mail.com/2026/02/07/uk-sends-more-fighter-jets-to-cyprus-in-case-of-us-strikes-on-iran
***The United Kingdom has deployed six more fighter jets to its air force base in Akrotiri, according to reports on Saturday, with fears growing that the United States may launch a fresh round of strikes on Iran.***
***British newspaper The Times reported that a total of six F-35B fighter jets **departed from the Royal Air Force’s base in Marham, Norfolk, for Cyprus on Friday**, “to defend the base and sovereign base territories should the situation in the region become ‘hot’”.
The jets left on Friday for Cyprus, so, I’m sure they’ve arrived!
***It added that the British government has “concerns [that] the US could attack Iran and plunge the region into a wider conflict”, and that the F-35B fighter jets will now join Typhoon jets which are already stationed in Cyprus and “carrying out missions over Iraq and Syria”.
