Really not sure what to make of Tusk’s claim. He could be appealing to the more domestic audience in Poland, Ukraine, EU? I don’t know?

Tusk stated that for the first time he heard from U.S. negotiators that the United States “will commit to providing Ukraine with security guarantees in such a way that the Russians will have no doubts that (in the event of a ceasefire violation — ed.) the U.S. response will be military.”
According to him, U.S. President’s special envoy Steve Witkoff “was unequivocal on this point.”
“It is a fact that for the first time it has become so clear that the Americans, Europeans, and Ukraine are on the same side,” the Polish prime minister said.
The head of the Polish government also stressed that the only real chance to persuade Russia to engage in serious negotiations on ending the war, or “at least on a ceasefire,” is the unity of the entire West.
“We need to remain allies together with the Americans and Ukrainians so that the Russians and Putin see that it is impossible to drive a wedge between these three sides,” he said.
My feeling is this is not entirely accurate, but, don’t know.
