With a third U.S. aircraft carrier, more warships and thousands of new troops heading toward the Middle East, President Donald Trump will soon have more options to keep up U.S. military strikes or put boots on the ground, maintaining pressure on Iran even after he extended a ceasefire. The USS George H.W. Bush aircraft carrier, along with three missile-armed destroyers and roughly 5,000 highly-trained soldiers, is en route to the region, according to the Financial Times, citing unnamed United States officials. They will join at least 24 warships and more than 50,000 troops already in the region, where the U.S. has amassed its largest build-up of forces since the 2003 invasion of Iraq. Thousands of these troops are specially trained for seizing chunks of land in hostile territory.

If they do make this move look for Kurds and MEK to participate- The US has groomed these terror groups for a very, very, very long time.

The additional deployment comes as Trump said he would grant a Pakistani request to continue holding off on attacks on Iran until progress could be made in peace talks or a new proposal takes shape. Iran says it won’t negotiate under U.S. threats, and a senior Iranian adviser called the extension a “ploy to buy time for a surprise strike” on X. Trump, meanwhile, has firmly kept up a U.S. blockade of Iranian ports, and fresh military force remains an option on the table. The U.S. is “ready” to restart its heavy bombing campaign, its forces “raring to go,” he said on Tuesday. Another aircraft carrier moving into the area would help Trump follow through on this claim or even escalate the war into a ground invasion scenario.

How Much New Firepower Is Going to the Middle East?

Each aircraft carrier, including the USS George H.W. Bush, is manned by thousands of personnel, ferrying dozens of fighter jets and caches of precision weapons to wherever they are needed. They don’t travel alone. An aircraft carrier is accompanied by two or three destroyers, which can launch long-range missiles like Tomahawks deep into Iranian territory and shoot down enemy weapons trying to hit the aircraft carrier. Three destroyers can usually fire just under 300 missiles in total, both to protect the carrier and to attack targets such as depots or command centers in Iran. While the carrier itself doesn’t fire missiles, up to around 90 jets can perch on its deck. Each jet is loaded with a combination of precision weapons, including missiles that they can fire from the air into Iran. When the Bush arrives in the Middle East, it will bring all this with it, collectively known as a carrier strike group. This will both beef up the U.S.’s ability to hit Iran hard, as Trump has repeatedly threatened, and give another of its aircraft carriers, the USS Gerald R. Ford, a chance to rest.

2- There have been a number of alleged attacks in the area of conflict that originated elsewhere in my opinion. Two in particular strike me as false flags. Azerbaijan and Turkey, were allegedly fired upon by Iran. Iran denies targeting these two nations. I believe them. Iran has been quite open about who their targets are and why. It’s been US military assets in other countries and Israel- Sure, Turkey has NATO bases. And yet, still I do not believe Iran has targeted Turkey. Those two nation have shared common interests and concerns. They have cooperated on many things. Turkey has not allowed the use of their airspace for the US to attack Iran. Same as when the US attacked Iraq. Many Azeris live in Iran- there’s just no reason I can think of for Iran to attack Azerbaijan. Nothing.

*Iran cannot accept US calls for negotiations while it keeps on committing war crimes

Iran said Thursday it cannot accept US calls for negotiations or ceasefire while “war crimes” are being committed against the country.

“We cannot accept that the enemy sometimes speaks about dialogue and negotiations, while at the same time we face war crimes,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said in statements carried by the state news agency IRNA.

He said Iran had faced a similar situation for the second time in less than a year, adding that Tehran had been engaged in a diplomatic process and negotiated seriously and “in good faith.”

Baghaei said the talks appeared close to producing an agreement, citing the latest round of US-Iran nuclear talks that concluded in Geneva under Omani mediation in late February, where both sides had described the atmosphere as serious and constructive.

“But the US and Israel carried out military attacks while negotiations were underway,” he added.

“We were in the middle of negotiations and they committed this crime,” he said.

The spokesman said Iran cannot ignore such experiences or accept calls for dialogue while attacks continue.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said the conflict could only end if Iran’s rights are recognised, reparations are paid for damages caused during the war, and international guarantees are provided to prevent future aggression against the country.

In a message posted on social media platform X, Pezeshkian said he had reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to peace in the region while speaking with leaders of Russia and Pakistan. However, he maintained that the war—triggered by what he described as actions by the “Zionist regime” and the United States—could only end if the three conditions were met.

“The only way to end this war—ignited by the Zionist regime and the US—is recognizing Iran’s legitimate rights, payment of reparations, and firm international guarantees against future aggression,” Pezeshkian said.

Brits deny use of Diego Garcia for US Strikes on Iran

The U.K. won’t allow the Pentagon to use British bases to launch attacks on Iran, reported The Times of London.

The ban includes Diego Garcia, the joint U.S.-U.K. base in the Indian Ocean that has been at the center of a deal for Britain to hand over control of the Chagos Archipelago to Mauritius.

Now amid President Trump’s military buildup in the Mideast, U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s government won’t permit air missions against Iran to be launched from Diego Garcia or RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire, home of America’s B-52 bomber force in Europe, according to the British newspaper.

“Under the terms of long-standing agreements with Washington, these bases can only be used for military operations that have been agreed in advance with the government,” the Times reported.

Mr. Starmer’s Cabinet is reportedly concerned that any use of Diego Garcia or RAF Fairford would be a violation of international law, which “makes no distinction between a state carrying out the attack and those in support if the latter have ’knowledge of the circumstances of the internationally wrongful act.’”

Will Britain back down? I don’t know.

The fact that Washington agreed to hold talks after their cancellation in Istanbul speaks to the leverage countries like Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar have on Washington. The U.S. may dismiss Iranian threats of regional retaliation in the case of an attack, but its own partners are more directly threatened by the consequences — a blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, retaliatory strikes on their own soil hosting U.S. bases and personnel, and the general fallout from Iran’s disintegration as a result of a prolonged war. Mindful of these dynamics, Tehran has adroitly leveraged its neighbors’ fears to win another chance to avoid a war it does not want, at a moment of an increased external pressure and domestic turmoil.

Yet, the regional leverage is finite. It can persuade Trump to get to the table, but it cannot force Washington and Tehran for a deal either side does not want or cannot accept.

Iran’s very insistence on controlling the venue, format, and agenda signals a critical reality: even under an immense external and domestic pressure, Tehran is not coming to capitulate, but to negotiate from a position of resistance.

The problem is not the absence of a technical solution; it is the rejection of its political premise. If the nuclear issue is technically solvable, why are we on the brink? Because for key U.S. ally, Israel, the Iran issue is not about its nuclear problem, and much less about “freeing” Iranians from theocracy. Many in Israel and in Washington are pushing Trump to go for regime change.

Israel is also concerned about Iran’s ballistic missiles because it’s the last real deterrence Iran has against a total Israeli domination in the region and Iran’s own transformation into a new Syria — a state so hollowed out that it can be bombed at will. For Iran, missiles are not bargaining chips; they are the non-negotiable pillars of its national defense.

The demand for disarming Iran, including ballistic missiles was the same demand made last year, before Israel struck Iran.

Netanyahu has reportedly long been lobbying Trump to strike Iran or at least green-light Israeli strikes.

If the talks in Oman are to avert a disastrous regional war, putting Americans in harm’s way and shattering the global economy, Trump should quit listening to the Israeli government and instead heed the advice of Qataris, Omanis, Saudis, Turks and Egyptians, all of whom urge him to engage in real diplomacy with Iran, and not use it as a mere prelude to war.

JP- Israeli officials estimated on Thursday that it is unlikely that Iran and the US will reach an agreement during the slated talks between senior officials in Oman on Friday.

Israel wants this war so badly, I don’t think it can restrain itself at all. Just stating the obvious.

On Friday, February 6th, American and Iranian diplomats will gather in Oman in a last-ditch attempt to prevent a return to war, following intensive regional diplomacy.

Israeli prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu sees a historic opportunity.

With elections approaching this year and political crises at home, Netanyahu may hope that renewed military action could salvage his languishing poll ratings, rather than making unpopular diplomatic concessions.

Trump, on the other hand, appears caught between contradictory impulses: as a military strongman and as a dealmaker. Intensive diplomatic efforts by Middle Eastern and Gulf states have been vital in delaying a US attack on Iran and creating space for negotiations. Now, Europeans must work with Arab partners to outweigh Israeli pressure, persuading Trump that renewed wars in Iran or Lebanon would risk his objective of “peace on earth” and his status as “deal maker in chief.”

Publicly, Netanyahu and his ministers have been restrained. Former Israeli security officials say Israel is following Trump’s lead to avoid disrupting the president’s efforts or appearing to interfere with the protests.[1] But behind the scenes, high-level meetings have taken place between Witkoff and Netanyahu and senior Israeli and American security officials. Israel is reportedly continuing to press the US towards military action, sharing intelligence and targets. Netanyahu likely hopes for a wide-ranging US-led attack that would, if not depose, at least destabilise the Iranian regime. Reports indicate that Israel opposed Washington’s original strike plans, fearing they were too limited and symbolic, while risking a costly Iranian retaliation against Israel.

Prediction- Tomorrow night, (Feb 6- Feb 7/ 26 most likely the US and Israel will strike Iran- I don’t think Trump can say NO. He’s weak. He’s owned. He’s very likely extremely compromised. And, IMO, is a megalomaniac-

• The PKK/YPG Kurds lost control of the N/E region of Syria because of the decade plus of abuse they have doled out to the Arab population in the area.
• North Eastern Syria was predominantly Arab. The Kurds along with the US carpet bombed vast swathes of the area- taking control of and stealing Syrian resources. The whole time abusing the remaining Arabs. Many who were at the mercy of these terrorists
• Well, pay back time arrived. The Arab population rose up. The Usrael backed PKK/YPG Kurds have maintained there brutal occupation, mass killings have occurred. Still the Arabs have held their ground.Before the troops sent by Damascus could arrive, the Kurds released ISIS thugs from the prisons and there are reports the US has been flying them to other locations
• I’m NO fan of Al Golani. He’s a US stooge, same as the PKK Kurds are. I actually believe he came to save the Usrael Kurds from the hands of the local Arab population. So the Kurds released ISIS because they know the US will use ISIS against Damascus. Turkey. Or possibly in Iran. But, Al Golani arrived to late.

Cities in the north-east such as Raqqa, freed from is by the Kurds but home to large Sunni tribal populations, were restive under sdf rule. In recent years the SDF had grown more autocratic.

By the time government forces reached Raqqa and northern Deir ez-Zor, much of the region had fallen to tribal fighters. Thousands of Arab recruits in the sdf defected. There was little fighting.

Weeks ago, the group was offered a better deal: three army divisions and a senior defence post for its leader, Mazloum Abdi.

Amid the chaos, more than 100 have escaped prison. The SDF’s collapse may have ended one war, but it risks sowing the seeds of another

1. What are Trump’s options in Iran?

We are in unprecedented territory. Prior to Operation Midnight Hammer in June, the United States had never directly attacked Iran. The United States spent years developing the technology and expertise necessary to successfully carry out an operation against Iran’s nuclear program. Initiating strikes to protect protesters is an entirely different set of targets and objectives that are likely being developed in real time.

As the USS Abraham Lincoln enters the region, Trump likely has a range of options that fall into following broad categories. 

• Symbolic strikes: This could include strikes on conventional targets, such as Iran’s nuclear or missile program. While these strikes would do little to tangibly help the protesters, it will ensure that nobody can accuse the president of drawing “red lines” and then ignoring them.

• Strikes targeting the security apparatus: Trump likely has intelligence on a range of facilities and personnel connected to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, law enforcement forces, and the paramilitary Basij militia that may be connected to the crackdown on the protest movement.
• Economic targets: During confrontations between Iran and Israel over the past year, there was speculation that Israel might attack Iranian economic targets. This could include oil export terminals, such as Kharg Island in the Persian Gulf, as well as critical natural gas infrastructure. Such an operation would be risky and could impact energy markets, but it would also get the attention of a government that is teetering on the brink of economic collapse.

There were no mass protestors- There were mass armed destabilizers mass killing citizens including beheadings. Using weapons transferred through Iraq with the help of US and Israel. And lots of Starlink terminals supplied by Pentagon contractor Musk. There is lots going on in N/E Syria- with reports of the US flying ISIS fighters into Iraq. They may stay there? They may head into Iran? Hard to say?

Starlink is banned in Iran, yet tens of thousands of terminals may have been smuggled into the country, although it remains unclear how many are in use, according to Holistic Resilience, a US nonprofit that has helped deliver Starlink terminals to Iranians and says it is working with SpaceX to monitor what it describes as Iranian attempts to jam the system.

It seems Iran confiscated an untold but quite large number of these- It’s likely another nation ( Perhaps China?) helped Iran to locate these terminals.

Two Americans of Iranian descent gave emotionally wrought and harrowing testimony about the protests….. I’m sure they were well prepped prior to their presentation. One was American media perception manager Masih Alinejad. Born in Prague, September 11, 1976, Prague, Czechoslovakia but exiled to America?! So did Czechoslovakia exile her? I’m not following??

There may be a brief delay in the Usrael strike on Iran, but, they will do it. The whole thing positively reeked of the aforementioned, Colin Powell’s deceptive presentation at the UN, 2003.

Same type of caricatured performance.

President Trump is delaying a decision on striking Iran as the White House consults internally and with allies about the timing for such an operation and whether it would meaningfully destabilize the regime, according to five U.S., Israeli and Arab sources with knowledge of the situation.

Why it matters: The military option remains firmly on the table, but Trump’s decision to pause has exposed deep uncertainty — inside the administration and among allies — about the risks of a strike that punishes Iran while inviting major retaliation.

As Trump takes time to consider diplomatic options, the U.S. military is evacuating troops from Middle East bases and sending reinforcements to the region, including the USS Abraham Lincoln and its strike group.
While a strike does not appear imminent at the moment, a U.S. source familiar with the situation told Axios that "everyone knows the president keeps his finger over the button."

Zoom in: Israeli officials are among those that have expressed reservations over the past 48 hours.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke to Trump on Wednesday and asked him to wait to give Israel more time to prepare for possible Iranian retaliation, according to three U.S. sources and one Israeli source. The New York Times first reported on Netanyahu's request.
An Israeli source said that in addition to concerns about retaliation, the current U.S. plan includes strikes on security force targets in Iran, but is not seen by Israel as strong or effective enough to meaningfully destabilize the regime.

State of play: Trump has said repeatedly that he will take military action if Iran kills protesters who have participated in a weeks-long uprising against the regime. “HELP IS ON ITS WAY,” he wrote Tuesday, urging the Iranian people to “take over” government institutions.

Several thousands of protesters are believed to have been killed by the regime's security forces, which have restricted internet and telephone access amid a brutal crackdown.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt claimed Thursday that 800 planned executions had been postponed due to pressure from Trump.
A day earlier, Trump said he'd been told "on good authority" that "the killing in Iran is stopping," and that the regime has "no plan for executions." 

Shortly after Trump’s comments, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told Fox News that there are no plans for the “hanging” of protesters — a hallmark of previous crackdowns.

"The Americans are reassessing now," an Arab source with knowledge told Axios.
Still, the Iranian regime shut down the country's air space for several hours on Wednesday night in fear of a U.S. attack.

Between the lines: Much of the public messaging from Washington appears designed to maximize uncertainty — and potentially throw off Iran, as was the case when the U.S. struck its nuclear facilities last May.

The US is manipulating Iran, same as before

Decisions are being made by an extremely small group of top Trump administration officials.
"The president isn't taking any option off the table, now or in the future. People shouldn't try to box him in," cautioned one U.S. source with knowledge of the matter.
"He likes to preserve optionality and it's a hallmark of his approach that he'll talk to anyone, anytime."
Leavitt reiterated Thursday that all options were on the table.

Another U.S. official said it is too soon to definitively say the White House is shifting to de-escalation mode.

"The president is still examining options and watching the situation unfold," the U.S. official said.

Driving the news: On Tuesday, Trump met with his top national security advisers to discuss a potential U.S. military strike aimed at punishing the Iranian regime for killing protesters.

Two sources familiar with the meeting said it ended without a clear decision, with Trump seeking more time to weigh the options and refine the plans.

"What we understood is that Trump decided to take more time to think about it," an Israeli source close to Netanyahu told Axios.

On Thursday morning, Iran’s ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, said that “Trump informed Tehran that he will not attack the country and asked that Iran also exercise restraint.”

The White House denied such a message was conveyed to the Iranians.
Shortly after, Trump reposted a report on Truth Social that a 26-year-old protester would no longer be sentenced to death after his warnings to Iran. "This is good news. Hopefully, it will continue!" Trump said.

Behind the scenes: The Trump administration and the Israeli government have been in close consultations over U.S. plans for a possible strike on Iran, U.S. and Israeli sources said.

According to Israeli and U.S. sources, Netanyahu was careful over the last two weeks not to be seen as pushing Trump to take action. His directive was to allow the president make his own decisions.
A U.S. source said the Israeli message to the Trump administration was "we will follow your lead, but we're not pushing for a strike." A second source said: "Bibi didn't tell Trump not to do it, but also isn't pushing him to do it."

The intrigue: As Trump weighs the different military options, the U.S. is taking more steps to increase political and economic pressure on the Iranian regime.

The Treasury Department on Thursday announced new sanctions against the secretary general of Iran's supreme national security council, Ali Larijani — a close confidant of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
Several commanders of Iran's internal security forces and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps involved in the killing of protesters were also sanctioned, in addition to entities affiliated with Iran's "shadow banking" network. 

What to watch: U.S. sources said Trump is still open for diplomacy with Iran, but wants to get a clear commitment from Iran’s leader that a serious deal is possible.

"Eventually the Iranian regime will go down unless the supreme leader speaks directly to DJT. He doesn't trust that anyone else in their system has the authority to actually negotiate," a source said.

The attack will come.

In plain talk, this may be just another ploy (a cunning plan or action designed to turn a situation to one's own advantage) in the US/Israel war machine- An attempt at persuasion. Before their attack, already planned and prepared for goes forward. As stated, Iraq, 2003

UN Security Council Meeting on Iran, at US request- the latest

The U.N. Security Council scheduled an emergency meeting Thursday to discuss Iran’s deadly protests at the request of the United States, even as President Donald Trump left unclear what actions he would take against the Islamic state

China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi has spoken with his counterpart in Iran, who said the situation was “now stable,” China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

To my understanding Iran has largely gotten the very violent western backed destabilization under control

Abbas Araghchi said “he hoped China will play a greater role in regional peace and stability” during the talks, according to the statement from the ministry.

“China opposes imposing its will on other countries, and opposes a return to the ‘law of the jungle’,” Wang said.

“China believes that the Iranian government and people will unite, overcome difficulties, maintain national stability, and safeguard their legitimate rights and interests,” he added. “China hopes all parties will cherish peace, exercise restraint, and resolve differences through dialogue. China is willing to play a constructive role in this regard.”

Turkey says it’s opposed to any foreign military intervention in Iran

Turkey also opposed the US attack on Iraq in 2003!!

“We are against military intervention in Iran,” Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan told journalists in Istanbul on Thursday. “Iran must address its own internal problems… They must address their problems with the region and in global terms through diplomacy so that certain structural problems that cause economic problems can be addressed.”

Ankara and Tehran enjoy warm relations despite often holding divergent interests in the region.

Yes, they do. They manage. They work stuff out.

Fidan said the unrest in Iran was rooted in economic conditions caused by sanctions, rather than ideological opposition to the government.

Of course there is one other possibility for this stall- I have to consider everything… Perhaps there are some unknown weapons or challenging alliances that have been brought to Donald Trump’s attention that is giving him pause for thought? Maybe the western bought and paid for destabilizers failed to accomplish certain military goals that would have been needed to be done before the USrael strike? Just throwing it out there!

During an event at the White House, Trump stated that he had been informed “by a trusted source” that “the killing is stopping in Iran. It has stopped… and there are no planned executions”, without providing further details.

In response to a question from an Agence France-Presse reporter in the Oval Office about whether US military action is now ruled out, Trump answered “We will monitor the situation and see how things go”.

The UN meeting may shed more light on this situation.

It’s the type of piece that would be characterized here as a dot connector. Much like the post from the other day– I like the overall picture as well, but, there are times the devil is in the details and those details require a bit more examination– Over my many years of reading, writing and reporting a wide range of topics have been examined. Gallier’s link gave me an opportunity to review previous work & refresh everyone’s memory on these topics that contribute like trees to the formation of the forest. As we enter into 2026, a year that is looking to be potentially very dangerous for the planet- It seems a good time to review.

I’m including excerpts from the linked piece while adding in additional information and perspectives. If you take the time to read the entire piece, which is worth reading, you’ll realize we’ve talked about much of this here. Some of my views differ from Gregorz, but, it’s all good

This is not the collapse of the Roman Empire; this is more like the collapse of the Roman Republic.

This is the collapse of the phase of the entity in which ordinary citizens have a say in their own government. This is the period before the rise of an empire and a protracted period of expansionist, destructive, warlike insanity. You thought it was bad before? Just wait until they don’t have to have a pretext anymore. Wait until they don’t have to have any checks on their ambition. Wait until they can do whatever they want right out in the open without having to explain it to the public—because that is what we are looking at next.

I see the collapse of the empire and that is not naive. Not in my opinion. But it won’t be fast or easy due to the powerful and deeply interconnected global military assets of the US. Alongside the US dollar being the currency of global trade. It is the beginning of an era of belligerence. But not expansionism. It's a belligerence brought about by the understanding that ones global relevance is shrinking. And it is the last dangerous effort to retain the status of global empire.

This erosion of the US dollar supremacy, which has been ongoing for decades- is NOT lost on the US leadership.

If you are imagining a scenario where the United States simply shrinks from its position as the dominant global superpower without first lashing out at everyone, you are out of your minds. That is what they are stress-testing right now.

Yes, that is what the US is doing. Pushing buttons. Stress testing. Lashing out. The tariffs are a form of economic warfare- Never mind the rabid and blatant war mongering!

Notice how the Democrats are just going along with it and there is no public pushback.

So, once they have finally eliminated the last republican institutions, once they have finally eliminated the last traces of public involvement in the government, this is what we will be left with. That is the better analogy. It is not the fall of the Roman Empire; rather, all the window dressing is gone, and we are moving into straight imperialism.

To me this statement applies more to the internal American populace- those outside of the US understand what the US is, having been subjected to it’s vagaries for decades. It is Pax Americana. And has been for a very long time. But the Americans themselves may finally come to understand this reality.

Unfortunately, I completely agree with this statement. Things are only going to get worse. A global war and, or a global techno-feudal prison is coming. Because people live in a world of naivety, not understanding that the US is a superpower and a world hegemon acting like a global terrorist, they don’t understand what is coming.

Maybe more people do live in a world of naivety? But, I’m not one of them.

I explain, as does Brian Berletic, that all this talk about a divide between America and Europe is nonsense.

It is a colony. By design. The EU and the US are on the same page no matter the presentation of disagreement

How is America allegedly against the war in Ukraine while it still provides intelligence, and while Congress just approved the Pentagon budget, which allocates money for weapons for Ukraine? If Europe is a weak vassal and Kallas is too afraid to even name the US, and when Trump imposed tariffs on Europe they gave America everything it wanted, then how can anyone tell me with a straight face that there is a meaningful divide between America and Europe? America holds all the cards and could simply impose tariffs again, saying they will only be lifted if Europe agrees to peace with Russia. The US could also cut intelligence sharing with the Ukrainian army, which would lead to its collapse — yet it does neither. And we are still supposed to believe America wants peace with Russia while continuing to fund and support Ukraine militarily?

I don’t believe America wants peace or it would have had peace.

Some people will still reject what I say and claim it is speculation, insisting Merkel was not lying in 2022. To them I point out one thing: Poland built one of the largest LNG ports in Europe and constructed the Baltic pipeline from Norway through Denmark — all in preparation for a Ukraine war. I live in Poland, and even I didn’t know that Poland now produces 90% of the West’s TNT supply used by Western armies. Poland was clearly informed by the US that war was coming, and positioned itself to profit from it.

2022 Poland Europes Newest Military Power

I’m not on the same page as the author and his contentions regarding Northstream and Poland. They wanted Northstream blown, because Polish leadership wanted to be the dominant power player in Europe. But I can see Merkel not wanting the pipeline destroyed or the war with Ukraine, understanding Germany would be destroyed in the process.

I argue that Germany — especially Merkel’s faction — did everything they could to prevent the war until the very end. America knew this, and that Germany did not want war because it would destroy German industry, so the US felt compelled to destroy Nord Stream. Blowing it up was risky: if the public realized America had sabotaged German infrastructure, it could cause massive political backlash. Yet the US did it anyway, because if Nord Stream remained intact, Germany might still return to Russian gas, even during the conflict.

NATO is based on a few simple concepts. The US leads. Keeping Germany down and Russia out. And never to allow for German/Russian cooperation That would be one powerful partnership.. Not just militarily, but economically that would be a strong challenger to American hegemony.

Now we come to Azerbaijan and the “Azerbaijan Trump Corridor.”

“The “Azerbaijan Trump Corridor,” officially the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP), is a U.S.-brokered transport corridor agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan. It links mainland Azerbaijan with its Nakhchivan exclave via Armenia, featuring roads, railways, pipelines, and fiber optics. The corridor promises regional peace and trade by providing new East-West transit routes while reducing Russian and Iranian influence, with the U.S. holding development rights for 99 years.”

The author writes about the dispute between Pakistan and Iran

Recently, there was a conflict between Pakistan and India, which I discussed in my posts. This war was provoked by the United States, which conducted a terrorist attack in India using our McJihadists, giving India an excuse to attack Pakistan. Many people believe Pakistan won the conflict, but I disagree.

As do I. Pakistan did not win.

Pakistan was heavily beaten by India and, in desperation, asked Trump to intervene and make India stop its attack. For the first time in history, immediately after this conflict, the military leader of Pakistan — the actual power in the country — visited the White House.

Yup.

This feels too much like a contrived ”feather in the cap” situation for the Trump administration.

Then there was the dust up between Afghanistan and Pakistan- Instigated by the Pakistan at the behest of the US

That’s my view on what has happened between both nations- Pakistan egged on by the Trump administration has attacked Afghanistan. To be clear Pakistan and the US have been fast military friends for a very long time.

The report directly below is a follow up or following along update on the situation between Turkey and Israel & their Kurdish allies the PKK, rebranded long ago as the SDF to obfuscate the US/Israel/NATO ties to this known terror group. As previously mentioned there is conflict between Turkey and Israel regarding Syria… this is bound to worsen.

Yetkin Report

Tension over Syria is rising in Ankara on two interconnected levels. One is the military pressure Israel is exerting on the Ahmed al-Shara administration and on Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. The other is the SDF’s reluctance to take responsibility for the disarmament process—acting as if it has no connection whatsoever with the PKK—while keeping an eye on Israeli support, thereby disrupting the “Terror-Free Türkiye” process.

Because the PKK was never going to disarm- these claims were always rubbish

This situation is now testing Ankara’s “red lines,” which can no longer be summarized in just one item but in two:

1. Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity must not be undermined.
2. No security threat must emanate from Syria toward Türkiye.

In fact—as I will elaborate shortly—the strain on these two conditions is leading to increased activity within Türkiye’s three institutions involved in the process and to a hardening of messages.

Rising Tension, Hardening Messages

1. The coordination of the process is under the responsibility of MIT Director İbrahim Kalın. As the process has progressed, the messages coming from PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan have begun to diverge from the statements made by DEM. While Öcalan claims to be persuading the SDF, (he’s not persuading them to disarm) there is suspicion that, through his deliberately ambiguous language, he is in fact trying to rein the SDF in. The role of PKK member Veysi Aktaş, who was released from İmralı, has drawn attention in this process. In this context, MHP’s Feti Yıldız using the same wording as the AK Party leadership—saying “It won’t work unless all elements lay down their arms”—right before the visit by DEM Party’s İmralı delegation (Pervin Buldan and Mithat Sancar, together with Öcalan’s lawyer Faik Özgür Erol) to Devlet Bahçeli on December 13 should be read as a move to leave no room for ambiguity.
2. On the same day, December 12, National Defense Minister Yaşar Güler, while defending the 2026 budget in parliament, raised the emphasis a notch higher by saying “We will not allow it.” This should be read within the same framework. The Turkish Armed Forces increasing their activity in northern Syria last week in coordination with the Damascus administration, and Chief of General Staff Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu’s visit to Damascus, may be interpreted by the PKK as “They can’t do anything; Israel will apply pressure, the U.S. will block it,” but relying on this assumption could be misleading.
3. Also on December 12, the remarks made by Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in his interview with Al Jazeera both increased the tone and directly targeted the Israel–SDF connection—now in a way that gives the impression of being based on specific intelligence:
   • “There is a relationship, a correlation, between Israel’s activity in Syria and the SDF’s reluctance. This now needs to be said. This is not a decision taken by the YPG alone. On the day Israel reaches a certain agreement framework with Syria, you will also see the future of the YPG.”

Having said a few days earlier that there cannot be two armies in one country, yet opening a door to compromise by stating that if they reach an agreement with Damascus the police force could come from the SDF, Fidan also emphasized in the Al Jazeera interview that Türkiye  would not allow the opposite scenario.
