In reply to Mark. I can only assume the Houthis did hit this plane successfully and the US is covering it up- That's the only thing that makes sense about this latest incident

Agreed, the Houtie scratched one F-18 which apparently, “…. had just flown off the deck of the USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier.” I wonder how the crew of the Gettysburg appreciate being blamed ? Granted that American naval incompetence is legendary but how much are we being asked to believe here ?
Also the comment the the Eisenhower deployment “… marked what the Navy described as its most intense combat since World War II”, really dishonours the veterans of the Korean War and the Vietnam War.

a bit off topic, but, the claims of friendly fire taking out the F18???

It’s not clear at all because these groups are linked the entire time by radar and radio communication- how could they even be targeted?
Unless there was some sort of catastrophic failure of these identifications systems? Which is not being acknowledged at all.
Clearly the US military is covering up what really happened
