I still stand by the comment I made to your April 14 posting part of which read :

Was listening to an interview at the Duran
So I’m throwing it out there
there seems to be an idea that this leak was done by parties within the government who were trying to shed light on the mess that is Ukraine?
Possibly to effect some change?
Anybody?

Exactly as you’d expect from a covert op agency, but, for Obama to express that as policy… it tells us something about how the US actually operates- or it’s actual way of being

Small consolation but something at least, Mark. Not all Canadian fighter jet pilots attacked their designated targets. However, I was as ashamed as you that Canada was involved in the overthrow of Gadhafi (CTV’s chosen spelling) who I knew had done great things for the people of Libya. NATO stole a hopeful future for Libya and Africa as a whole.

Yes, the Libyan “colour revolution” was the epitome of illegal and immoral imperialist intervention. The moment that I felt most ashamed to be Canadian was when our jets bombed civilian infrastructure with their NATO co-conspirators and a Canadian General was commanding the assault to be subsequently appointed Canadian Chief of
Staff. ( Only to be quickly de-frocked in a sex scandal of some kind.)

I get where your coming from but these are all supposed to be Ukrainian ideas? That the US is opting to reign in? Is any of that credible at all?
I get the hare brained ideas and proposals and have no doubt there are lots of them.
I was thinking a lot about Libya when I wrote this. How the US “led from behind” and we were supposed to believe this was the Libyans themselves that rose up and killed Gadhaffi but, that wasn’t true. Not even close!

While they may be authentic it is unclear how ‘serious or important’ these documents are and who proposed the operations or who quashed them. Military Intelligence officers sit around all day, safe in their bunkers far from the front lines with beer and pizza, thinking up hare brained schemes and producing proposals. Military bureaucracy is awash with the resulting documents.
