I knew a guy in college that we called “Stinky” because he stank. He received all sorts of ridicule, by even myself (and I considered him a friend).

He once told me that he simply did not give a damn what others thought of him.

But I couldn’t stand being around him, even though I admired his stance… he stank to high heaven. I take it that Diogenes stank, too.
