He married Samantha Ankara Fuller in the 1990s when both were students in North Carolina’s Research Triangle; they seem to have been divorced by 2004. Samantha Fuller is the daughter of Graham Fuller, whose career in the CIA brought him in 1986 to the position of Vice-Chairman of the National Intelligence Council under Ronald Reagan. In 1999 Graham Fuller was forwarding the idea of supporting Sunni militants against Russia and China, a policy that produced first the Russian retreat from Afghanistan and then the ‘blowback’ problem of Al Qaeda.

Turkish media speculates on who will inherit Gulen organization and it’s assets

Following the death of Turkish Muslim cleric Fetullah Gulen, named by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan as the mastermind of the 2016 coup attempt, Turkish media have been commenting on who will succeed him at the helm of his organization with offshoots in many countries around the world and, not least, who will establish control over its assets, estimated at USD 300-400 million in schools and real estate worldwide.

Gulen died on Sunday in a hospital in the United States where he had been living for many years.

According to the Sabah daily columnist Abdurrahman Simsek, Suat Yildirim will most probably be chosen to be Gulen’s heir. He is known to have lived in the same apartment with Gulen in the city of Edirne as early as 1960, which is why he is considered to have been closest to him during his lifetime and the most knowledgeable about the organization. He graduated from a religious academy in Ankara in 1964.

According to other sources, however, Mustafa Ozcan has also been tipped as Gulen’s successor.

“The leader of this dark organization is dead,” Turkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said at a news conference on Monday, adding that Turkiye’s determination to fight terrorism would see no let up.

Allegedly, according to OdaTV, despite the preacher’s will to be buried in Turkiye, it is not possible to do so, and the funeral ceremony will be at the estate of his relative by marriage, Cevdet Turkoglu, in the state of Pennsylvania, where Gulen lived in recent years.

Gülen spent the last decades of his life in self-exile, living in a gated compound in Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains and wielding influence among his millions of followers.

Gulen’s followers run a loosely affiliated global network of charitable foundations, professional associations, businesses and other projects, including about 150 taxpayer-funded charter schools throughout the US But details about Gulen’s personal life and his ties to those ventures have long been murky, giving rise to suspicions about his motives.

This incident caught my attention immediately for many reasons- Not the least of which is the amazing number of “coincidences” involved. Now, I’m not a coincidence theorist by nature. Yes, there are coincidences, but, not so many that it becomes completely absurd and impossibly improbable

When I first posted info on this topic, Mark said “Lynch seems the type of person who had ‘dirt’ on powerful people in the intelligence community.” Mark was correct. Based on the information from media sources he would have had intelligence on people AND nations.

Specialist divers surveying the wreckage of the US$40 million superyacht that sank off Sicily in August, killing seven people including British tech tycoon Mike Lynch, have asked for heightened security to guard the vessel, over concerns that sensitive data locked in its safes may interest foreign governments, multiple sources told CNN.

The specialist divers are Italy’s own super secretive, special forces divers. And they’ve asked for heightened security to guard the vessel to keep this sensitive data away from other interested parties

Italian Prosecutors who have opened up a criminal probe into multiple charges of manslaughter and negligent shipwreck think the 56-metre (184-foot) yacht, the Bayesian, may contain highly sensitive data tied to a number of Western intelligence services, four sources familiar with the investigation and salvage operation said.

Lynch was associated with British, American and other intelligence services through his various companies, including the cyber security company he founded, Darktrace.

Israeli ties had been previously mentioned

That company was sold to Chicago-based private equity firm Thoma Bravo in April. Lynch, whose wife’s company Revtom Limited owned the vessel, was also an adviser to British prime ministers David Cameron and Theresa May on science, technology and cyber security during their tenures, according to British government and public Darktrace records.

The sunken vessel, lying on the seabed at a depth of some 50 metres (164 feet), is thought to have watertight safes containing two super-encrypted hard drives that hold highly classified information, including passcodes and other sensitive data, an official involved in the salvage plans, who asked not to be named, told CNN. Specialist divers with remote cameras have searched the boat extensively.

Initially, local law enforcement feared that would-be thieves might try to reach the wreckage to find expensive jewelry and other objects of value still onboard the yacht, according to divers with the Fire Brigade who spoke with CNN. Now they are concerned that the wreckage, expected to be raised in the coming weeks as part of the criminal investigation into the tragedy, will also be of interest to foreign governments, including Russia and China. They have requested that the yacht be guarded closely, both above water and with underwater surveillance.

“A formal request has been accepted and implemented for additional security of the wreckage until it can be raised,” an official with the Sicilian civil protection authority who is assisting with the criminal investigation confirmed to CNN.

Lynch, his 18-year-old daughter Hannah, American attorney Chris Morvillo and his wife Neda, British banker Jonathan Bloomer and his wife Judy, and the yacht’s onboard chef Recaldo Thomas died when the ship sank in a violent storm in the early hours of the morning.

Take note that the autopsy results for Mike Lynch and his daughter are less clear on cause of death.

Preliminary results from autopsies suggest that the Bloomer and Morvillo couples died of suffocation or “dry drowning” when the oxygen in an air bubble in a sleeping cabin ran out. Autopsy results for Lynch and his daughter were less clear.

The chef, whose body was found outside the vessel, died by drowning, the coroner said. Toxicology reports on the dead have not yet been released, but none had suffered any physical injuries when the boat went down.

Lynch’s wife Angela Bacares and 14 others survived, including the captain James Cutfield, who, along with a deckhand and the yacht’s engine room manager, is under investigation for multiple manslaughter and causing a negligent shipwreck. They have all been allowed to leave Italy.(??)

Some of the 15 survivors, of whom nine were crew members and six were passengers, including a one-year-old girl, reportedly told prosecutors that Lynch “did not trust cloud services” and always kept data drives in a secure compartment of the yacht wherever he sailed, a source with the prosecutor’s office told CNN. None of the crew or passengers who survived the incident were tested for drugs or alcohol because they were in a “state of shock,” authorities said during a news conference following the recovery of the bodies.

Morvillo represented Lynch when he was acquitted in a criminal fraud case in the US in June tied to the takeover by Hewlett Packard of his software company Autonomy, and survivors told investigators that the cruise was a celebration of that acquittal, according to the assistant prosecutor, Raffaele Cammarano. Though Lynch was acquitted of any criminal wrongdoing in the US, Hewlett Packard has indicated it will not drop its bid to collect a US$4 billion civil payout from Lynch’s estate, awarded by a British court in 2022.

In what appears to be a tragic coincidence, Lynch’s business partner Stephen Chamberlain — who was his co-defendant in the US fraud case and the former chief operating officer of Darktrace — died on August 19, the same day the Bayesian sank, after being hit by a car while out jogging two days earlier. A spokesperson for the prosecutor’s office told CNN that Cutfield told them Lynch had learned of Chamberlain’s serious condition and had planned to cut the cruise short to return to the UK to see his business partner, who had been on life support.

The Bayesian sank a few hours before Chamberlain died in the hospital, his lawyer said. Lynch would not have known of his partner’s death, and Chamberlain was in a coma so would not have known about the shipwreck, Chamberlain’s legal counsel said.

Local prosecutor Ambrogio Cartosio said no personal effects, including computers, jewelry or Lynch’s hard drives had been recovered from the vessel. However, the onboard hard drives and surveillance cameras tied to the yacht’s navigation system have been brought to investigators to determine if there is any usable data that might indicate how the yacht sank within 16 minutes of the storm hitting. The vessel did not have a traditional black box or voyage data recorder to record navigation data or audio on the bridge.

After divers complete surveys of the wreck this week, they will make suggestions for how to best raise the 473-ton vessel without spilling any of the 18,000 litres of oil and fuel still onboard, and how to make sure any sensitive data does not fall into the wrong hands. The costs of raising the ship will fall to its owner, Lynch’s widow, as is mandated by Italian maritime law.

John Bolton, the former national security adviser to President Donald Trump, says he’s joined the advisory council of the Turkish Democracy Project, a newly launched nonprofit, “to shine a light on the darkening situation” in Turkey.

Only an idiot would believe that gibberish.

The organization describes its mission as “encouraging Turkey to adopt more democratic policies and responding to the steady erosion of Turkey’s democratic institutions, human rights protections, and economic well-being.”

Double speak for Turkey is pursuing it’s own interests and that cannot stand!

The board of directors includes former Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and former Italian Foreign Minister Giulio Terzi di Sant’Agata.

The Daily Sabah outlet said the Turkish Democracy Project was a “platform for anti-Turkey propaganda” and reported that two of the organization’s board members, Aykan Erdemir and Suleyman Ozeren, are wanted in Turkey in connection with the failed coup.

Mobilize public opinion to support a global policy towards Turkey that discourages those practices that threaten human rights locally as well as peace globally.

Assess the risks of engaging with corrupt businesses in Turkey and impress the gravity of those risks on international companies presently or potentially exposed to the Turkish market.

Disseminate regular and reliable information through articles, TV appearances, and news briefs.

In The American Deep State I wrote about America’s structural deep events (SDEs), in which “from time to time dark forces intervene to redirect American policies, such as … 9/11, which launched the global terror war.”^[1] I also suggested that there were common features linking America’s structural deep events, above all their involvement with the so-called “shadow government” or “Doomsday Network” set up in the 1950s to provide “continuity of government” (COG) in the event of a devastating nuclear attack.

Another feature of these structural deep events is that, while they are attributed to very marginal elements—such as a disgruntled ex-Marine, or 19 angry Arabs—sooner or later key figures in power, in the course of a cover-up, are caught lying about what actually happened.

Continuity of Government is a term we heard repeatedly after 9/11. I’m only including selected excerpts here from this lengthy piece with a recommendation to head over to the * link and read the piece entirely.

Evidence that COG planners were also potential operators was discovered by accident, in May of 1961, by Kennedy’s White House assistant Fred Dutton. In that month he wrote a memo to his superiors of a startling discovery: “the existence of classified letters from President Eisenhower to ten private citizens throughout the country giving them authority over various parts of the economy and total society in the event of a declaration of a national emergency…”^[8]

In that troubled era, among the many establishment figures warning that America was becoming ungovernable was Harvard Professor Samuel Huntington, who co-wrote (for David Rockefeller’s Trilateral Commission, of which he was a member) a book arguing that America’s problems stemmed “from an excess of democracy.”^[12]

Huntington then joined the Carter administration as a consultant to National Security Adviser (and former Trilateral Commission Director) Zbigniew Brzezinski.^[13] Together the two were responsible for the creation in 1979 of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). In addition to its high-profile public functions, FEMA inherited the secret function of sustaining and enhancing the Doomsday Project (or COG).^[14]

Thru to 9/11

It would appear that this “shadow government” finalized such long-standing COG projects as

1. warrantless surveillance, in part through the USA PATRIOT Act, whose controversial provisions were already being implemented by Cheney and others well before the Bill reached Congress on October 12.
2. the militarization of domestic security under NORTHCOM, so that the Pentagon would be involved in the surveillance of U.S. citizens.
3. Department of Homeland Security’s Project Endgame—a ten-year plan to expand detention camps at a cost of $400 million in fiscal year 2007 alone. This means of handling protest movements, which Rumsfeld and Cheney had rehearsed in REX 84, was an important corollary at the time to the decision, already reached, to again conduct a major war in Central Asia.

Congress, however, was not told that the U.S. was now under a continuity of government status until February 2002:
