Yes, if Russia can get what they want a deal could work to Trump’s benefit
A potential problem arises for Trump in making this deal is that he could be seen acquiescing or kowtowing to Russia- Depending on how the narrative is framed? I’ll be paying attention for sure!

If Russia can find a way to get what it wants while providing an off ramp for Trump to win a Nobel Peace Prize, this could work. If the war stops, stopping the war will require Zelensky to face an election that he can’t win, thereby removing him from office legally. He better flee to parts unknown for his own safety.
