Its something which also caught me by surprise a few years ago, its one of those things what will only be caught by accident or if someone else mentions it.

I somewhat blame it on that National Identity and Borders blurs these details somewhat.

Germany has many issues revolving around it, but as long as it had a good income of money it did not have to worry about it.

However Germany allowed itself to get into this position.

The problems I see that Germany has.

- Allowing foreign groups to be hosted and operate for that cause in their own nation. (opposition party members who have fled their own nation. For example PKK, Religious Cults)

- Still not have been able to unify the Germans within their own country (West - East Divide from WW2)

- Failure to get projects like the Maglev train pushed through. (imo, this benefitted the Automobile industry and Lufthansa (Short-term goaled lobby interests))

- Working with China (Now they are outcompeting their own game)

- Their industry for multiple reasons relocating to other nations like USA. (https://www.dw.com/en/is-german-industry-migrating-to-the-us/a-65031130)

- ( Heavy personal Opinion) With the majority being non-religious having a lack of purpose they subscribe into sort of hedonism which is causes them to focus a lot on short-term gains (or feelgoods) instead of maintaining and improving in for the long term.

I am not gonna deny I am very opinionated with regards to this as to many other subjects.

The best analogy I can give is. Germany had a very hard party and are now middle of a hangover. What will they do when they are sober and can't unsee things anymore.

Germany seems to be in a real bind- very weakened and willing to get into massive debt-Even hearing talk of BlackRock involvement?
Any insights you wanna share.

Germany’s prospective fiscal U-turn could prove transformational for the country’s struggling economy and for European defense — but Berlin lawmakers don’t have much time to make the historic shift happen.

Fiscal and economic policies were seen as highly contentious during Germany’s previous ruling coalition and contributed to its eventual break-up at the end of last year. Amid ongoing negotiations for a new governing alliance, the Christian Democratic Union and its Christian Social Union affiliate — which led in the February polls — and the Social Democratic Party appear to have achieved something of a breakthrough.

On Tuesday, likely-to-be chancellor Friedrich Merz and other political leaders announced plans to reform the long standing fiscal pillar known as Germany’s debt brake, specifically to allow for higher defense spending. They also revealed a new 500 billion euros ($535 billion) special fund for infrastructure.

Materializing these plans will mean changes to the German constitution, which requires the support of a two-thirds majority in parliament. This would likely work at present — but would be very difficult to achieve once the newly elected parliament representatives come together for the first time later this month.

A vote on the constitutional tweaks could therefore be pushed through

You could be right Kaz!

And yes the US has accomplished their objectives
Try looking at it by evaluating it if USA have accomplished the objectives which it set out to do.

– Weakening Germany,
– Make Poland Stronger within the EU,
– Buying Time for USA
– Deplete Old Weapons Stock ( Rocket Fuel in missles have an experation date believe it or not)

I'm watching what comes out of Saudi Arabia today.
Deal or no deal
Zelensky out or staying

Hi Mark

I agree it's entirely likely the US has not shared every intel snippet it's had over the decades of being the global empire- Why would they? It's how they keep their advantage. It's what serves them ultimately. So does it serve the US to not provide Ukraine with this intelligence via their 5 eyes allies?
I'm not convinced entirely they wouldn't share the intelligence, because they still want the minerals deal with Ukraine as well as the ability to occupy under that guise.

However.... I'm of another mind as well- It's possible the US will deny Ukraine the information because they are losing. Russia has been advancing- their was a large attack last night to my understanding, which hit infrastructure. In this way of thinking, it's possible the US wants to distance itself from Ukraine as it falls, so it can blame the Europeans for not coming to their aid. Even though the US has been a major participant all along. So, the spin can go like this... the US didn't lose, the EU did.

Which way will it go?
