Translating from other languages often leaves out the nuances that might otherwise be understood, always my concern

I think North Stream 2 would have been a bigger op as well

Perhaps the similarity is in the state sponsored terrorism aspect?

Because both cases of terrorism, North Stream and the ship look to be state sponsored.

I often wish Italy would break free of it’s occupation. The country has a phenomenal history and doesn’t deserve the subordination it has been subjected to

They have a long history of military divers going back to WW2. I don’t see this as ” … strikingly similar, also in terms of timing, to that of the ‘bombing’ of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline.” The Nordstream 2 operation was much deeper and more complex and I see no similarity in timing. Since there is no mention of an oil spill I assume ‘Seajewel’ was empty. This seems to be a minor attack on what appears to be an undefended Russian asset. Just another futile European attempt to retain some kind of international relevance.
