– “these drone attacks were deliberately meant to create an unsafe environment, which would either coerce Russia into closing its airspace or cause a tragedy”

The drone attacks created an unsafe environment which resulted in this tragedy- It was not inevitable but the odds of it happening were increasing with every drone attack and response.
Had Ukraine engaged in appropriate diplomacy, which they could have right off the bat, with the Istanbul agreements, this wouldn’t have happened and we wouldn’t be talking about this today.

Which is why I would like to see diplomacy succeed so the West can’t exploit this tragedy any more than they already have
