I think it was Security Council Members that held sway because the UN resolution was passed by the Security Council (to my understanding) Not sure that Turkey had as much of say in this matter, because they are not on the UN Security Council

What do you think is coming after Assad and why has Turkey and its allie agreed to ‘reform’ Syria’s government. There is speculation that a former Al Qaeda affiliate is taking over Syria. I hope not. God bless the Middle East. Hopefully Erdogan is careful. I think most Turks in Turkey and the West are aware of the games being played and the ‘Greater Israel’ project so in these tough times, we must support Erdogan. I think in the Global South, he has a lot of support. In the Global North, less support.

Yes, Assad is gone. Can’t prove it, but, it seems entirely likely a deal was made per the security council participants to reform Syria’s government under the UN resolution I mentioned in the previous report
