In reply to penny2. Truth be told, I skimmed trough to get a picture. I did come across that piece, but I imagine majority of them fled to eastern part Iran. But then again you flee where you can flee. I never got a good look into the details of this conflict, that reference of yours was quite helpful.

Off topic- though it was cloudy today we were able to view some of the eclipse through the clouds and when it was dark, it was dark!
Light night time- solar lights came on – the birds roosted and it was quiet- weirdly quiet
some one (in my neighbourhood) sent up some fireworks at the time it became dark
over all- pretty neat!

My understanding of this situation (not entirely of course) is when Armenia entered Karabakh many fled to Iran
some become internally displaced in Azerbaijan
If you can add some additional info please do 🙂

Hey Penny,

Where do you come with “Iran has many, many Azerbaijani refugees”. Because Iran currently holds the territory of southern Azerbaijan, which always had Azerbaijani.
The internationally recognized of Azerbaijan, is just the northern part.
