Syria has no interest in having them there, either.
They’ve had talks a number of times- it never amounts to anything. For good reason- can’t trust them.

I’ve long postulated Syria and Turkey along with Iran will work to oust them and their American allies-
Last I checked Russia is still working with both Syria and Turkey on agreements and meetings were taking place- though as of late their could be other priorities- but, once Erdogan and Assad meet- it will be the cherry on top because everything else will be done (behind the scenes)

But both parties and nations would be foolish to not resolve this situation- It’s advantageous to them both- big time!

Just read this interesting tweet from Lord Bebo that might be of interest for you. He thinks that Syria will be where Russia will put much more pressure on the US and I have to say that I think he’s right. There will be much more effort to kick the US out of the Syria in the near future (I don’t know if you can access the thread as there are 2 or 3 follow up tweets with sources that are quit interesting, if you can’t access them, tell me and I will copy-paste them to you).
