interesting perspective. This said, I stumbled upon a Swiss expert who claims that the Nordstream bombing was worse than admitted. He makes a good case that it was blown up with nukes, not with conventional explosive. You might follow the links on that tweet, some of them are in english. I watched his video (in German) and he really make a compelling case.

I think Russia has likely lost that many fighters including the Wagner fighters, though not part of the official army- they none the less fought against the Ukrainian army.
Ukraine’s casualty figures range anywhere from 250,000 to 350,000. It’s been a brutal war, in my opinion. But that I think all war is brutal.

It is tragic that numbers of casualties are tossed around in way that is devoid of the lives lost being attributed to them.
I found the Economist article to be fair enough- Actually a bit surprising because of the admission that was being made.
What bothered me the most about it- was there is no mention of a resolution. A way to end this.. It’s always the same sort of impractical in the real world edicts.. well Russia has to withdraw, give back Crimea, blah, blah, blah and Ukraine and NATO only have re arm themselves and provide no real offers of security to a nation with legitimate security concerns-
