Hi GC
I covered the issue of the contracts here

https://pennyforyourthoughts2.ca/2023/06/24/putins-prigozhin-problem-optics-authority-are-being-challenged/

Wagner had to be absorbed because they can't legally operate on Russian territory- Hence the contracts

One thing I don't agree with is the comparisons between the Turkish coup attempt and this fiasco- No comparison unless one doesn't fully understand what occurred in Turkey before, during and immediately after the coup attempt

Hi Penny:
I read on Twitter something completely different started the rebellion. The Russian military wanted to absorb the Wagner troops and had given them a deadline to sign such contracts. The deadline was coming up and Prigozhin balked at the idea so revolted. Some of his troops went along with him and some have already been absorbed.

That explained a lot to me even though it has none of the romantic war story elements of the threatened "civil war".

You would think Americans and the West would be weary by now of all the lying perception management of the Pentagon shills. They know absolutely nothing about what's going on in Russia despite their outrageous claims.

Putin came out of this stronger than ever. The only ones who wanted [were desperate] for bloodshed were the NATO warmongers and they were totally denied.
