**To avoid the dismantling of Wagner- A clear reference to the contracts that were required to be signed.**

**Covered in this previous report** **from June 24/23**

> [Putin’s Prigozhin Problem- Optics & Authority Are Being Challenged.](https://pennyforyourthoughts2.ca/2023/06/24/putins-prigozhin-problem-optics-authority-are-being-challenged/)

[Putin thanks the nation for it’s unity](https://www.ctvnews.ca/world/putin-thanks-nation-for-unity-after-aborted-rebellion-1.6455668)

> Prigozhin’s statement appeared to confirm analysts’ view that **the revolt was a desperate move to save Wagner from being dismantled after an order that all private military companies sign contracts with the Defence Ministry by July 1.**

**As of this moment I’m not seeing the hand of the west behind Prigozhin’s attempt to stay relevant. As far as I can tell this whole episode took them by surprise, though they tried to spin it in a favourable direction- When life hands you lemons, you make lemonade- The West did exactly that. Which just made them look, in my opinion, very lame.**
