**That’s known as a “no shit sherlock” in my world- It’s been reported many times that military *aid* to Ukraine has been being sold for profit.**

[Defense Post](https://www.thedefensepost.com/2023/06/15/us-aid-ukraine-not-tracked/)

> The **US military is unable to properly track billions of dollars worth of weapons and equipment sent to Ukraine**, according to a new government watchdog [report](https://www.dodig.mil/reports.html/Article/3424247/evaluation-of-accountability-controls-for-defense-items-transferred-via-air-to/).
>
> **Washington has provided Kyiv with [more than $40 billion in military aid](https://www.thedefensepost.com/2023/05/09/us-military-aid-ukraine-4/)** since Russian forces invaded in February 2022.
>
> However, an assessment from the US Department of Defense’s inspector general states that military personnel tasked with transferring weapons to the war-torn nation “did not fully implement standard operating procedures.”
>
> **As a result, the service could not confirm the quantities of defense items received against the quantity of items shipped** through an aerial port in Poland.

> The report was based on an examination of three of five shipments made by the US military.

Increased Risk’
---------------

> **The US military’s failure to track defense material transferred to Ukraine was blamed on its servicemen, who failed to fill out the necessary paperwork.**

**Blame it on the servicemen- sure**

> **The report cited a shipment of thousands of small arms, night vision goggles, and cold weather gear that turned out to have no manifest.**
>
> The problem forced personnel to open the shipping crates and manually count the items.

**Reads as if weapons are being diverted to rogue forces backed by NATO, off the books- Think Gladio style operations**
