I thought it was something like that but couldn’t recall exactly.
However it seemed/seems pretty obvious.
And yes Turkiye was cut out of the F-35 program, but, I’m not sure that’s much of a loss given the many problems with the F-35 (going on recall but it seems to me it’s a problematic piece of military hardware)

In reply to penny2. Yes. Erdogan stated that he was purchasing the better system. Erdogan would not yield to US pressure not to buy them even though Turkiye was cut out of the F-35 program as a result.
