Thanks Mark, I’m going to give that article a read!
Canadians, I don’t know about the cultural inferiority complex? In some ways, yes. In other ways, no.
I find Canadians imagine themselves to be more polite, kind and compassionate than they actually are.
Complacency come from being in the shadow of the US.
There’s more to it for sure, but, that doesn’t change my view on Canadians being a largely (not entirely) lame lot

“Canadians are largely a lame lot-“. Indeed so lame as to be crippled and geopolitically insignificant. It pains me to say that we are disabled by a debilitating cultural inferiority complex.
I came across the piece attached below which talks of the Iran/Saudi agreement from the Pakistani perspective. The West would do well to pay attention to these developments in countries we’ve denigrated for so long.

Mark, when I read the above sentence- my first thoughts was my goodness Canadians are largely a lame lot-
The whole gender identity debate speaks to me of how out of touch with all reality western society really is

This Chinese brokered “rapprochement” between Iran and the Saudi princelings might serve as a deterrent to Israeli / CIA plans for an air strike on Iran. It is also facilitates the “Belt and Road Initiative” destined to turn the Eurasian land route into the primary trade route in the new multi-polar world economy. China promotes trade and development with the global south while NATO renegades can only offer exploitation. The world has taken note that China and BRICS offers an alternative to colonial oppression. Meanwhile we argue about gender and identity, fight proxy wars and prepare for the coronation of our new “by the grace of God” King of Canada.
