**Just a quick reminder that countering claims when accurate has been Ukraine’s modus operandi (established pattern of behaviour)**

 **And they have many reasons for doing this. Troop morale. Keeping domestic support for the war high. Keeping western support for the war in place as well.**

> Victory over the battle for Bakhmut remains unclear as **Ukraine continues to counter Russian claims of taking more territory in the area.**

**Kiev/Kyiv’s claims aside I haven’t seen any information that counters the reports of lost territory.** **There had been claims of a counter offensive in Bakhmut- this looks most likely to have been Ukrainian disinfo**, **from what I can gather.**
