Good sources talked about this possibilty long before the special operation even started. Poland has now for several years openly talked about Intermarium. Contrary to what wikipedia would suggest as it paints it just as an “historical idea” it is not. I think (so it’s just my opinion) that Russia even includes in its plan that Galicia will be annexed by Poland.

I was one of those speculators, not necessarily the one you had heard but the early talk is here.

If Poland/Hungry takes back the territory that is undoubtedly filled with Poles and Hungarians.. There will not be much of Ukraine left. And what is left will be in a pitiful state.

Early on in this special military operation, I heard speculation that Ukraine losing to Russia could lead to both Poland and Hungary taking back territory from Ukraine that had previously been their territories. That would not leave Ukraine much territory. Things are not looking good for Ukraine in the long run.
