I’ve seen the comments about GiveSendGo and I suspect everyone is trying to give money there..

As for GoFundMe? I’m sure Ottawa (Trudeau gov) was behind that decision
Have you noticed the way the language is being changed?
The protest is an occupation
the protestors are occupiers
the word ‘siege’ is being used
This is dehumanizing canadian citizens to justify the attack against them that is desired and planned.
Watching this occur in real time is surreal

Thank you PFYT2. I’ve just applied for my refund from GoFundMe. God knows I don’t want them confiscating my money.
I’ve tried accessing GiveSendGo a few times over the last two hours. The page is not loading for me. Maybe the server is overloaded with new requests, or they’re being hit with DoS attacks.

“According to the Feb. 4 statement, GoFundMe determined the “Freedom Convoy 2022” fundraiser violated its terms of service, “which prohibits the promotion of violence and harassment.”

A day earlier, the House of Commons Public Safety and National Security Committee called on the online fundraising platform to testify on how it would ensure funds weren’t being used to promote extremism and hate.”

In an online video posted Friday evening, “Freedom Convoy” organizer Tamara Lich said she would raise additional funds on the online platform GiveSendGo to “enable us to get donations into the hands of truckers much, much quicker.” She did not address the specifics behind GoFundMe’s decision.

If you gave money to this fund request it be returned or GO Fund Me will take the money you gave to the trucker convoy and give it to whom ever they determine to be acceptable

” According to organizers, funds were being used to help cover costs from truckers’ trips to Ottawa, including fuel, food and shelter, with leftovers going to “a credible Veterans organization which will be chosen by the donors.”

“Given how this situation has evolved, no further funds will be directly distributed to the Freedom Convoy organizers,” the company explained. “[W]e will work with organizers to send all remaining funds to credible and established charities verified by GoFundMe.”

GoFundMe says donors also have until Feb. 19 to request a refund online.

I continue to follow the live feeds from Ottawa- again, the atmosphere is festive- blow up bouncy houses are being readied for all the children that are present- yes, children.
People from Ottawa (other parts) are coming to see for themselves what is going on.
Still people there from Quebec. And other parts of Canada. More trucks are present as well- more people.
There has been a lawsuit initiated against the truckers by some stooge/lackey..
There is an organization of lawyers there on behalf of the truckers – they’ve been doing cases for illegally fired and students who have been booted from school due to the mandates

The truckers have cleaned up and shovelled the walks (city took the garbage cans) truckers brought in garbage bags and clean up.
They also supply food to anyone- they have pizza ovens etc
(this has probably po’d the restaurants)
