Data in Canada indicate a higher number of cases than would normally be expected in the general population **109 cases this week. Up 3 from last weeks high** > Reports of myocarditis (inflammation of the heart muscle) and pericarditis (inflammation of the lining around the heart) following vaccination with COVID-19 mRNA vaccines. Data in Canada now indicate a higher number of cases in younger people (i.e. less than 40 years of age) than would normally be expected in this age group in the general population. **1463 cases on lagging data, but, still up 35 cases.** > Capillary leak syndrome following vaccination with the AstraZeneca Vaxzevria/COVISHIELD COVID-19 vaccine. **Count remains at 2** > Facial paralysis/Bell’s Palsy following COVID-19 vaccination. It sat at 853 adverse reactions (two weeks ago) > > August 27/21’s adverse reaction count has increase a great deal as well. Two weeks ago it was 659. Now it is 700. **The data lag is months- not weeks as this report would have you believe. Months worth of data lag.** > Of the 29,806 reports, 6,703 were considered serious (10.9 reports per 100,000 doses administered) **11 serious adverse affects per 100,000 doses- I remember when we were told serious adverse affects were going to be one in a million. Now it looks like 110 per million.
